I like to see they are winning but at the end of the day if they lose it doesn’t effect my emotional state lol
It is more fun to go see a good team than a bad team - so I like them being good and winning. Funny thing is that if Drake wins the MVC Tournament tomorrow, I'd be happy for them. Maybe, they can start scheduling some better OOC games - which would be good. However, if they lose, I'd much rather them host an N.I.T. Game (that I could attend) instead of getting an at-large bid in Dayton. So, I enjoy seeing them win, but I am not Fan Boy Fanatic about it. Somewhere in the middle.

Is Duke really that good? I think they are a good team but they greatly benefited from poor competitions in ACC
I think they're good but they're super young.
They easily could play Creighton, Uconn, Gonzaga, Kansas type teams in the 32 round.
That would be interesting.

Good? Yeah but I don't think they are elite. At this point though I really don't think anyone is elite. Duke goes as far as Flagg carries them.

So they settled for York and St Ambrose? There are 364 D1 teams and they chose to play 2 NAIA teams; doesn’t tell me they tried real hard.
This is actually pretty common in the Valley. UIC played 3 non-Division 1 opponents. Every MVC plays at least 1 game like this per year. It gives some local team a chance to play a D-1 team in the state.

Yeah most of the non P5 teams do, but to offset that going forward they have to schedule some of these other upper level mid majors. I used SDSU as an example only because they have the home and homes with other top level mid majors.

Having said that no chance Drake saw a season like this coming so they scheduled accordingly at the time.

But if you schedule like a coward you get what you deserve on Selection Sunday.

Listen... I get it... you hang out with people who don't closely follow sports and you are the "smart" one of your group. You were feeling yourself so you stepped up in class.

Its not my fault you made a dumbass comment that "wins have to matter," got called on it and your hand smacked.

Where did I say that McNeese State was great? I simply said that a team went out and scheduled someone with a pulse.

I also never said Drake was bad. YOU are the one trying to make them out to be an elite team; I am simply pointing out they didn't bother to schedule anyone and they might pay for that choice.

Make sure you hang your "Beat Vanderbilt in November" banner.

Oh and take your fake tough guy act and **** off.
You're completely clueless. I don't know what you're expecting, but obviously nothing they could have done would have changed your mind.

They scheduled K-State in KC, who was predicted to be a tourney team. Then they played Miami and FAU who had both been in the Final 4 recently, and then beat an actual tourney team in Vanderbilt.

You do realize that those players from those Final Four teams are all long gone right? I mean I have to clarify because that is really stupid.

But great job getting into that MTE though!

Do you give OU the same credit for beating Vanderbilt because "beating Vanderbilt" is apparently the litmus test for tournament worthiness...

Miami was projected to finish 3rd in the ACC and FAU has been a very good program for the last 3 years. K-State was suppsoe to be a tourney team.

Show a me a schedule you think they should have played instead that would be up to your standards.

Let me ask you this if they played @ Wisconsin, Duke, UCLA, Oklahoma, West Virignia, and some random A-10 team, and then 5 buy games since they play 20 conference games, would that have been enough for you?
