This really is a bad basketball game.

Soak it in hawk fans. This is Ben McCollum basketball. Games in the 50s. Boring AF.

If they win, fans won't care as much. But if you lose with that style, fans hate you quickly (see: Lickliter, Todd)

A defensive coach could have similar success to what Tim Floyd did here.

Drake game technical should have been a foul on #1 Drake, tech on #1 DRAKE for the late shove pushing the Bradley player out of bounds late, and#21 on Bradely for the bonehead retaliation shove. Definitely missed the tech on Drake. Either that or you don't call either tech.

I don't know what happened there. Evidently both teams shot tech free throws? Looked like the violation was all on Drake to me.
The announcers had it wrong from the start. Drake fouled on the shot, but #21 for Bradley shoved the Drake player after the whistle (and the rebound shenanigans) and got the tech for that. I thought dead ball techs would have the technical get shot first, and then play resumes (so Bradley would then shoot) so the order of the free throws was confusing.

I'm glad there wasn't anything on the rebound. That seemed like normal basketball, and the Bradley tech was soft but also probably right "per the rule book"

There was some contact there by Drake, but that was mostly momentum and a sell by Bradley. Bradley player needed to keep his head for sure.

FTs are always shot in the order the fouls occur.

Except he didn't shove him out of bounds. If you watch the guys momentum was already headed towards the stands.

If they hadn't already called a normal foul right before that it should have been a common foul on Manawa. That little elbow shove he did happens all the time.

Testifying
I understand they have an audience but the simping for Bradley to be an at large is wild.

If there was a collision and momentum pushed him out yes, but the Drake player clearly gives a forceful shove with his off hand extended well away from the body well after the whistle. Dirty move.

Happy for Drake and glad to see them in the tournament. Wouldn’t mind to see ISU play them, I think we’d do very well against their offense and defensive approach.

So we are both right (but I was wrong here). Some technical fouls are Point of Interruption fouls (so shoot the tech then resume where play was). Dead Ball Contact Techs are not Point of interruption so it was right here.
