If he's released, I'd absolutely be open to the Vikings signing him. Nailor is good, but Kupp as a WR3 would be an upgrade (even at Kupp's age).

Heck, you could probably even trade Nailor for draft capital if Kupp signs
He could be very valuable when Addison serves his expected 3 game suspension for the DUI from last summer.

Good thing we have the QB situation all figured out!
Looking more and more likely that the Vikes are going to let Sam walk. Was really hoping they could have salvaged a pick from the Raiders this year.

But—Rich Eisen ‘heard from multiple people’ at the combine that the Vikes will sign Darnold to a multi year deal.

Only way Vikings sign Darnold is if he’s willing to take like 20 million a year and he’s not doing that as the Raiders/Giants/Jets will probably pay him near 45 million. Can’t wait to see what McCarthy can do.

They're still in line for a compensatory pick if he walks. Depends on who else goes, as well as how active they are in free agency. Could be as high as a 3rd rounder.

And they still have the opportunity to sign him. They're just not likely to tag him. They're making good on their word that he'd be able to test the market. I'll bet that he'll give Minnesota the opportunity to match (or come close to matching) any offer he gets. He would if he was smart, anyway. There aren't many teams out there looking for quarterbacks, who are in a better position than the Vikings. Darnold has played on crappy teams and it damn near cost him his career. Not sure how much of a hurry he'll be in to play for a bottom feeder again

Too bad the compensatory pick would be in next year’s draft with being so short this year.

Vikings a dark horse for Rodgers. As a Vikings fan, I hate everything about it. As an NFL fan, it’d be pretty damn funny if it happens
