Indiana spends $5 million and can't even make the tournament.

Makes me feel a little better that the buying of winning rosters isn't always a slam dunk

Seems to have worked out for the Hok wrestling program....

Maybe this has already been said but, how ****** is it to leave a job after 1 year all while you pimped your son out to the school as a bargaining chip (twice now), to obviously have an agent that is flirty and vocal AF with any interested party, and to still have not won a tournament game.

I am kinda bummed out the Hawkeyes didn’t get that guy.

And also, I kinda also hope he succeeds in that conference because it puts Iowa even further into conference obscurity.

Fran will end up at a school like Wagner, Southern Indiana, Stetson.

Well I can admit I was flat out wrong. I know several members of DeVries family thought it was a done deal. Probably would have been without Indiana stepping in but hard to argue with him taking that offer. McCollum would obviously be a great “fallback” but wouldn’t be surprised to see him go to WV and reunite with his old AD. Sounds like Iowa willing to do $3.5m salary plus $5-$6m NIL which isn’t too shabby and a decent jump from recent years. We’ll see if that is real or not once all the dust settles.

A 1.5 million dollar NIL to a 5-6 million dollar NIL jump? I doubt it.

Devries looked at being the big fish in a small pond in a blue blood program or playing fourth fiddle at Iowa.

That includes the new $2.5m revenue sharing, so poorly worded on my part. True NIL jump from $1.5m to $2.5-$3.5m in theory.
Between now and this summer? Or is Iowa going to be one of the first to test the House Settlement and clearinghouse on 3rd Party FMV?

Funny thing with DeVries is, we all thought it was a weird fit to WV a year ago...and we were right. We just never dreamed it would be a stepping stone to Indiana in one season.
