The Bill Haters disappeared once the team played well In the third. Probably back to beating their neighbor’s cat with a fly swatter.
I think there is fair criticism of the 2nd quarter though.....the offense was very stagnant and I think that's why they only mustered 7 points. The offense AND defense in the 2nd half were completely different than the first half

Yeah, and it seemed for whatever reason during that quarter our passing was very lazy/slopping getting it inside.

Glad they weathered the storm and got right for the second half.

True…it’s how the criticism is handled. Talking about what the team or staff is or isn’t doing in general terms or pointing out specific examples is par for the course. But the haters instantly become vindictive and demand Fennelly's firing and start digging up any dirt they can to voice their deep held hate of him and his son. It’s interesting no one goes after any other assistant during the diatribes.

Watching highlights this morning and 2:48 legit made me lol. That poor Hill girl was OVER guarding Audi and found herself on the floor or out of the play the whole 4th quarter.

She is so good about establishing her position and her court awareness. Makes the right move immediately when she gets the ball. That drop step is killer.

If you are the son of the head coach you're going to take additional heat. That's how it goes, and if he is uncomfortable with that fact you aren't in tune with human nature. It's that way from 8U baseball all the way up to WBB at the D1 level.

I'm not going to say Fennelly needs fired, I don't know what dirt people are bringing up, etc. But I don't know a single person alive who could be watching that game and not be wondering why TO's were not being used. Macro level, I think any season where you make the NCAA tournament to be a success, so I consider this to be a good season. But I don't think anybody would say they aren't disappointed in this year and I think a lot of mistakes were made at a high level before the season even tipped off.

Still love Audi, Addy, AJ, Emily, the players on the team deserve every bit of support.

Glad the women got the win yesterday. That second half was great. Addy Brown's improvement the last third of the season has been a difference maker along with Kelsey getting more run. Tomorrow we will need to play a lot better than we did against Princeton. Michigan is young, but very talented. Looking forward to watching more basketball.

All comes down to whether you choose to focus on the negatives or the positives…during the game the 2nd quarter was a giant negative. Some chose to run with that and bash the coach repeatedly. Not his assistants who could have pushed him to call a time out (and yes that is part of their job). Many others took that quarter and instead asked the question…can they regroup? What will the coaches say at halftime to turn this around?

As for the season…I felt they were majorly over ranked to start off. Too many unknowns. I also believe rankings shouldn’t happen until we are a month in and things start to emerge as to what teams are really like. UConn men are a great example…or KU. I try to look at the whole of the season…what happened, why, and how did the team develop or evolve. I would only be disappointed this year about specific things, not the team as a whole. I’m disappointed all of the transfers didn’t work out better. This includes losing Hare early. But the plus side of that is Kelsey Joens was given the chance to emerge and shine. Maybe I watched Monty Python too much as a child and always try to look at the bright side of life…

Maybe the assistants should have pushed but the responsibility to call the TO is on the head coach.

Hey I don’t like negative people either but I’m not going to completely bury my head in the sand to the complaints either.

As to being over ranked, well sure. But they basically didn’t have any Q1 wins and barely snuck into the tourney. I doubt that was anybody’s expectation.

Emily had a weird game. Got absolutely snuffed three times, four turnovers, didn't shoot well including missing a breakaway layup. But she really showed up in the second half with some huge plays and was a bit of a stat stuffer: 6 rebounds, 6 assists, 4 steals and 2 blocked shots. When we fell behind 15, I thought we still had a chance, but that doesn't mean I wasn't worried. The Cyclones turned the game so fast at re-took the lead by the mid 3rd quarter, which was great to see. Let's keep the train rolling tomorrow.

I think Princeton did a good job getting into her preferred passing lanes, especially in the second quarter.
