I worry about 6-7 year seniors.

If they have already AA, many probably looking for $$$. When they get to the backside at NCAA, many are not that motivated. Many of their bodies are also beat up.

Even the 6-7 year guys that have not AA and probably not getting huge paycheck. Their bodies are beat up. Bad luck, maybe. But all 3 of our 6-7 years transfers (Schuyler, Feldkamp and Bockman) with all hurting bad by NCAA.

I would like to concentrate on younger guys that have more than 1 year left.

Hoping we hear some transfer news soon.

With the Frosts, Yonger, Ech and Paniro, that’s a solid base to build around.

LFG.
I remember when I was really high on Jacob and people hadn’t really bought in yet. I was okay with Ech at 149 because it meant we could see Jacob at 141. I feel equally good about Riggins at 165 if he can hold down the weight. I think that kid is just coming into his own. Not sure what happens with him and Euton, but we will have a solid 165. I also like a full off season of MJ building back into a solid 174. I’m not worried about the pieces we have already

There is no fire... Personally, I'm good with our current stable of horses. 197 is the only real weight that I'd try to fill with the transfer portal. I'd pass on AJ because of our great team chemistry that the coaches and DC have helped build. I would not put that at risk. Even if 197 doesn't have a big name guy we are setup for a great season next year.

Also, regarding AJ, I hope he stays put and stays out of trouble. CSB gave him a 3rd chance (not second) and he seams to have turned over a new leaf there.
I agree with this, we already have a ton of talent on the roster at nearly every weight. This team is ready to win - give me the guys we already have

Looking at some of the guys in the portal (officially)

I think Jordan Williams is making a mistake leaving Little Rock. He was very questionable at Oklahoma and gassed in a lot of matches. He looked like a new guy in Little Rock and now he is leaving.

Nasir Bailey, I am not sure what is going on with him. He looked real good last year, but gassed in a lot of matches this year. Regressed a lot. Not sure why Williams and Bailey went opposite directions at Little Rock.
They were in Iowa city the other day, at least Nasir was from what I was told. And he wants to go 141. Big problem this year was the cut was too much. You’re right they should stay put and wrestle 141 and 149 for Little Rock.

You posted we may be losing Yonger because of something that was on Hawkeye Report. You should lose your posting privileges for a while with that kind of nonsense.

I didn’t know it was on there until I saw it here. Sounds like DT made a run at him because he thinks Feldman is off to PSU.

Yeah I'd really like to hear some incoming guys maybe put a little water on this fire. Our departures (since there have been so many) is the talk of the sport right now and would be nice to get that attention off of us and have it be a positive one.

I don’t see or hear much talk about it. Rocco Welsh and the PSU/OSU Cael/DT drama is the talk of the sport currently.

Nothing against Riggins, the tea leafs I believe tell me it’s Euton. And I don’t think it’s particularly close.

NEICyFan should not be allowed on this board. He damages the Iowa State wrestling brand time after time. Go away!

Lolwut? I’ve been a huge fan and supporter of the KD era from day 1 and I’m still firmly in the camp of the staff. I’ve been one of the most active posters urging people that the recent transfers are not a sign of a falling sky. I’ve also been actively arguing AGAINST AJF coming here BECAUSE of the damage it will do to the brand.

People don’t like me because early on I was so outspoken against KJ instead of being the garden variety “rah rah true to your school” poster that’s so prevalent here. And when I was right about it, no one said a peep. I have a love for the sport, connections to the east, and don’t always see things through Cardinal and gold glasses. I make zero apologies. Enough with this drama crap.

If we have both riggins and MJ in the starting lineup I’m going to lose it.
