Are you saying that kick on the 3 point shot was truly a foul? Or that that goaltending reverse was the correct call?
On the goal tending call, they determined he let go of the rim...in snapped back in place and THEN the ball entered the hoop. So, no goal tend.

11ish, maybe 12. Just checking that gamecast and it says 10 with 34 seconds left, 8 with 26.

Yeah so that was definitely worse haha.
12 points. And the play of the game was UNI dunking the ball on a bunny instead of running out the clock.

If that happened to ISU, this fan base doesn't recover. Me included.
I don't know. ISU had two HUGE meltdown losses this year: vs. Auburn @ Maui and @ Arizona. Those losses botherd me less than the rotten eggs they laid vs. K-State @ Hilton and @ Okla. State. So, it's all relative.

Very true. But that game was to go to the Final 4. Not a random game in February.

I wouldn't count either of those as meltdowns since they weren't big leads late.

Even a first half 18 point lead is just not some crazy amount especially in today's game.

They certainly had chances to close them out or at least help their chances though.

Turnovers and late possessions.

Well, I count blowing an 18 point lead at any point a meltdown. It bugged me. )

As for @ Arizona, Up by two shooting two free-throws with 2 seconds to go. Nail both free-throws and game is over. Lord knows, I thought they had it won at that point.

Well I hope you didn't think a team was going to sustain an 18 point lead or keep hitting threes like that against the athletes like Auburn has.

Things evened out as Auburn tightened up and then someone needed to make plays late.

Unfortunately ISU's last possession was a sign of similar trends on the season.

I didn't expect them to maintain the 18 point lead, and I didn't expect them to lose the 18 ppoint lead. Either way, it was an awful result. Not UCONN in Maui bad but bad enough. :)

I.get the Flagg hype. He's a crazy talent and Duke's best player. But Kon Knueppel is awesome. That dude makes the right play every single time.

I think Auburn is the only team with the talent to stay with Duke. Maybe Houston could make it a rugged enough game to stay with them. They'd be severely undersized though.

Red Tide! Low Tide! SEC sucks Tide!

Sorry.
It's Alabama (not the SEC) in only their third Elite 8 EVER against the MBB Devils themselves. So many people talk about separating team success from conference success, but it is hard to do at the end of the day. Isn't it? That goes both ways.

FWIW, if it was football, I would 100 % understand. Rooting for Duke vs. Alabama in a CFP Game would make sense for the sport. However, I think a team like Alabama winning instead of Duke in MBB is actually also good for the sport.

Nothing to do with my personal feelings as a fan. High Tide! :)
