The whole “cheater” narrative is so stupid and overblown too.

I think it was more in the 'he got caught' type of deal like there weren't far worse things going on especially since what he got caught with is generally OK now.

Somewhere in there imo Indiana also seemed to want to protect their image even though Knight had some passive ties to violations.

I find myself liking Sampson more and more.

He's a bit like Saban. In that last time out when asked about how things are going and he just says something like 'well, it worked but they'll go off for 10 in no time'.

He knows how this thing goes.

He's definitely grown as a person since he was at OU 25 or so years ago now. Back then he was a total dickwad. Now he's a totally different person.

Heck we could have beat Mississippi if they shot like Tennessee. Not all great defense...missing lots of wide open shots.

And conversely if Milan or someone just connects on like 2 threes at some point it can change the feeling for everyone.

Iowa state needs to get back to this hardcore defense that Houston is playing. It really faded this year compared to previous years.
It was hard to do because Jackson and Jefferson are not as good defensively as BRE and Ward. Some posters on this board posted some nasty things about BRE (not a P5 player, can’t wait until he is gone, etc.) but we seriously missed his perimeter and interior defense this year.

100%. They were having success initially taking it inside. Ole Miss decided to take that away and force them to hit from 3. Had they responded by hitting a couple at that point, it changes the entire game.

Other than CuJo, we don’t have anyone who can create 3 point shot off the dribble. Milan is a good 3 point shooter but only as stand up or off the screen. We also don’t have dead eye 3 point shooters like Sanfort or Dix. Kansas also had the same problem.

That halftime analysis by Chuck and the boys was one of the worst I’ve ever seen.

What did they say? Tennessee is by the better team that would win this 99 out of 100 times, SEC is by far the best conference, etc.?

I just turned on the game and in just two or three minutes, it sounds like these announcers are Tennessee fans.
