Not 100% sure, but I've heard it from a few people. There is an article on Cyclone Alert that is accessed by joining a VIP membership which I can't access. It's the update on Rohde, and I'm assuming there is something on that in the article. Again, I've only heard it from people.

Transfer season generally means where there is smoke their is fire. Cluff to Purdue, Rhode most likely didn't buy into what TJ is selling. TJ always says it's not for everyone.

Or…we didn’t like something from the discussion

That would check out. Been wondering why nothing has been announced. This kind of feels like J’Vonne Hadley all over again.

Yeah, something about he walked into the interview wearing a baggy polo....and TJ wasn't having it.

I still watch becuase I can't stand the NBA and I love basketball, but it sure isn't how it used to be. It just feels like a cheap, sleezy, watered down version of what used to be a great product.

I've still got MLB and the NFL though since they haven't found a way to completely screw those up yet. They are trying with the NFL though by adding more regular season games.
MLB is most definitely the most screwed up of any league going. They’re in major danger of falling into boxing purgatory of a sport that used to be popular but nobody cares about anymore

I'd go in on this guy if Rohde is out. Went to the same hs as Keshon. I saw last week that we were in contact with him. Big body guard.

Looks a little like Ke actually as he can drive to the bucket. All offensive highlights so it’s hard to gauge if he’s a dog on defense.

Ha I mean you can move the goalpost to blame it on whatever you want. Sure, go for age as an excuse. Offensive schemes aren't unlocked like some sort of prize once you reach a certain age or experience level of coaching. They have entire staffs to work on these things. I'm sure TJ would admit himself that they needed to be better in the halfcourt offense.

Suggesting they need to improve the halfcourt offense isn't a hater take - it's honest. It's ok to say things need to get better. You can in-fact still be a fan, and understand not everything is rainbows and butterflies.
I'm not sure how it's an excuse to bring up the fact that Scheyer and Golden are the first coaches in 11 years to make the Final Four within their first three seasons (and Kevin Ollie was a total anomaly). I'm not suggesting anything is an achievement one unlocks by staying employed, but if we think Otz is a good coach, one of the major differentiators between good coaches and bad coaches is an aptitude for self-criticism and an ability to develop. I think he's capable of improving, not only in what he does but also what he instructs his coaches to do and teach, and in whom he hires if he decides a change is needed. So hopefully he improves, but that takes time. I'm not saying no one can be honest. The program needs to solve the late-season slumps. The half-court sets could be better at times. Though I can't get on board with how much that riles some posters (not you) up. It's a fact that for most of the second half of the season the staff did not have the weapons or the full use of the weapons it thought it would have coming into the season. If one thinks bringing in *insert most respected offensive mind* would've solved their issues, fine. I completely disagree

No I’m not a troll. You are seeing how NIL is quickly evolving and has evolved more even in the past year. It’s going to continue to evolve for the worse.
I wasn't calling you a troll, but declaring Sweet Sixteens the program's ceiling after two straight seasons of being one of the 12 best teams seems arbitrary. Similarly premature would be making straight-line projections about NIL (or anything else in life, for that matter), which, some time this year, won't even exist in its current iteration

Had a good amount of steals and offensive rebounds

Everything looks really good on Davis from a numbers perspective. 38% from three, 52% from two, 76% from FT. Positive assists/TO ratio, pretty good rebounding rates for a guard, steals are over 1 per game which is good (not great). Really like the size in a guard, he's probably not a backup PG though

True on point guard minutes. I guess that's where we see how much faith the staff has on Toure and or Bateman getting those 8-10min

Not a backup pg no but someone you probably can’t say no too as he gives you a lot of versatility in the 2-4 spots and he’s got 2 years left on which helps maintain consistency and culture if TJ wants him.

Give him a year in a P5 weight room, I would guess that changes. As a shooting spark off the bench he would have a role.
The kid shot 37% from field. He’s an inefficient, scrawny chucker. He is not going to go to a high major unless they are desperate for end of the bench depth.

Starting to feel like both are going to just get thrown straight into the fire. Not necessarily a bad thing, but at least one of them is likely to see starter type minutes right away.

This kid was stuck behind some solid guards at Purdue, so his number are great but I think he would be a good fit under TJ.
