Max is not dumb. He wants to stay there for 2026 and figure out how the Red Bull is with the new car and possibly make the jump the year after. If he moves to Merc after this season and Merc's new car is junk and Red Bull is great. He is going to look dumb. If the Merc is the top car next year, he will move the season after 2016. That is my guess.

Yeah at this point McLaren could qualify 8th and 9th and still probably win. So while Charles qualified 1st. Doubt it lasts long
