When my son was 6 or so the movie Iron Man came out. It has Sabbath's Iron Man on it. My son was hooked. He sang the chorus for months. It was a proud moment.

(Second only to me walking in to pick him from from day care and heard him singing Velvet Underground's Who Loves the Sun.)

When you buy the best guitar players around and have song writers it's not quite as impressive but he was certainly an icon.
RR and ZW were not known at the time to be as good of guitarists as they are known today.

Nonetheless, I agree ozzy had 2 of the all time greatest.

If you ever listened to his show with Billy Morrison, he seemed like such a nice guy. I can't tell you how many times the "Prince of Darkness" said God bless you

After we heard about Ozzy and the bat, alot of our floor members assumed that the bat came down from the ceiling of Vets.

I think too many people judge some of these rock/metal artists before learning about them. Their music and stage presence is an act/art. Most of them are nothing like they portray on stage or in front of cameras most of the time. They are normally good people.

I think Ghost is another band who gets a bad wrap by some people and shouldn’t.

I saw Ozzy when he played the Merry Mayhem Tour with Rob Zombie at Wells Fargo when I was in college. Certainly not at his peak but cool to see a legend and Rob put on a hell of a show.

I was at that show also. I looked up the set list the other day and it looks like he only played 10 songs?

I don’t remember, but this says 12. I remember the show being a bit of a struggle for him. He didn't move around the stage much. Pretty sure at that point he had a serious issue with prescription drugs.
