What the hell happened to the Wintersteen thread? Did a bunch of numbnuts go all political to get it shut down?
Personally I would say no, but it depends on who you ask.

From what I saw, there was talk about not wanting Reynolds to be president of ISU, some criticism that there would only be 4 voting members, and people saying they wouldn’t donate if she became president of ISU.

I personally wouldn’t call that too political (because it’s also not in the cave either, it was just nuked). I think some of us feel like sometimes threads are just nuked if there’s too much criticism or disagreement on certain topics (see e.g. the Idaho thread also being gone, edit: and the Hulk Hogan thread. There were people saying they weren’t mourning his death, but it wasn’t political). However, some people may feel it got too political

It’s the start of the season for German soccer and I’m really excited to have it back; it’s always a great time. Cheering for Hannover 96 to make it back to the top league

We'll be boarding in about a half hour if you want to follow along. UA to ORD, 1.5 hr layover, then UA to EDI.
Coming back out of Dublin on the 28th.
Y'all have a fun August!
Have a great trip!

Edit: that’s getting to stretch the legs on a single aisle there. Granted Edinburgh is much like the when I had to go to Manchester, busy enough route but not enough in off peak to demand a twin aisle.

It is an old plane at 30 years old but has been updated to United’s latest premium product Polaris.

Went for three mile birding walkies.. Almost empty park, even the bike trials that are usually busy. Guess that bad air report spooked a lot of people. It didn't smell as smoky as days this summer. I brought a N95 but didn't bother with it.

Okay walkabout, spied swallowtail butterflies, indigo buntings and a perched red-tailed hawk.

Ground speed of 509 knots @wxman1 post the SR71 story. small plane, bigger plane, Navy jet, then the Blackbird tops them all. That is my favorite fun aeronautic story
