We have a couple guys in Iowa swinging a hot bat these days that we felt were too valuable to trade for pitching. Maybe its time to give one of them a chance to get a few starts in Chicago and hope it jump starts the offense.
According to Counsel and "I can't drive in a run if a guy is in scoring position" Dansby, we're fine. All in the course of a baseball season. In the meantime, we'll now be four games out, and falling fast.
We should bring up these “talented” prospects. We have a couple guys in Iowa swinging a hot bat these days that we felt were too valuable to trade for pitching. Maybe its time to give one of them a chance to get a few starts in Chicago and hope it jump starts the offense.
I just love the players that we got at the trade deadlineBallasteros or Caissie need to be up ASAP. The offense needs a jolt in the worst way
Nope. I'll be at the night game of the double header. Guaranteed win! They’re gonna be 7 out by the end of the Brewers series
It is frustrating that even the Reds were more committed to winning and brought in more impactful players like Andujar and Hayes.Nope. I'll be at the night game of the double header. Guaranteed win!
Hopefully Amaya is back soon and I think tonight is his 9th game of his rehab stint so he has to be close. It's getting to the point that you gotta put a spark in this offense somehow. If Caissie is your #1 prospect that was too valuable to trade for a top end starting pitcher then he needs to be the guy that comes up and starts like 3-4 games in a row to give the OF guys a day off or DH. Since June 1 he's hit 13 HR and hit .316 in June and .333 in July. With the trade for Castro there really is no need for Berti now so just DFA him and bring up Caissie. Mo is hitting well too but he's basically a DH right now where Caissie can at least play the field.Ballasteros or Caissie need to be up ASAP. The offense needs a jolt in the worst way
that is what JD said, get hit since it wasn't that fastDansby not wearing a 77 mph curve when you just need baserunners…
OMG, it was a good bet to make? We were in the middle of a pennant race and our FO gambled on a suspected injured pitcher instead of trading for a healthy proven arms?Hopefully Amaya is back soon and I think tonight is his 9th game of his rehab stint so he has to be close.
