    Maybe a sports bar and a beer-only brewery? Maybe not enough traffic to support both. I personally like breweries that don't serve food and allow either food trucks or you to bring your own food, but I realize that's not for everyone.

    Nice to know things haven't changed in the 20+ years since I've lived there. I'm sure they'd love to give up all the shops/restaurants/entertainment/sporting events/churches/public transit/etc. that wouldn't be there without students and alumni.

    Thanks, I hadn't seen the actual announcement. I've seen a lot of other articles saying that people aren't drinking as much, especially younger people, so I can see the hesitation to expand.

    DSM area fence companies

    I've got neighbors with 4 foot chain link on both sides but would like to go with privacy. Do I need to take theirs out (thus requiring me to talk to them which is something I'd like to avoid) or can I just put the privacy fence up next to theirs?

    North Shore - Duluth and Lake Superior

    Lots of good breweries in Duluth and the parks/hikes others have mentioned. Ursa Minor and Bent Paddle were very good when I went (two years ago). Probably a little too cold that time if year to swim but at least you can stick your feet in the lake!

    We usually go for a hike in the morning and another in the evening. Bear lake is a good evening hike as most people are gone by that time and parking is available.
