    I agree with that. I wish Alabama and the SEC played 9 conference games too + 3 P4 OOC games. As it is, 'Bama plays 1 ACC + 1 B1G + 8 SEC teams this year. So, 10/12 games are vs. P4 teams (just like ISU). That's not bad.

    The 8 vs. 9 conference games is a legitimate issue, and I agree with that. Playing a cupcake in November instead of September is a wash. Alabama opens the years playing @ Florida State in Week 1 and Wisconsin in Week 3, but playing Eastern Illinois in November gives them an unfair advantage? Meh.

    It just doesn't make a difference when a team beats a cupcake. They are just as tasty in September as they are in November. Also, nobody ever takes the other approach while other schools are opening against cupcakes, the SEC teams are usually opening against real OOC opponents. For example...

    Well, the Art Institute is a MUST if you like art, and the Science and Industry Museum is also cool. El Nandu (Argentinian) off of California (O'Hare Blue Line) and Fullerton (2731 W Fullerton) is a nice place for dinner. Whatever you do, have a GREAT time in the best city in the country!

    But the B1G was better than the SEC last year. Happens. They do that from time to time. However, they won't string together year after year after year being the best. Either way, kudos to the B1G last year. They earned my respect.

    I don't think Iowa State sports dropping down a notch would change the perception of either of those programs. Sports perception would take a hit, but I think the University perception Academically would remain the same. Think UC-Davis.

    Hmmm. I am in the Yes and No Camp. Yes = I would not have attended Iowa State if they did not have a 1-A Football Program (during the Big 8 Era). Sadly, it was one of my requirements when I chose where to go to college. Worked out well though! No = As much as I love the Iowa State...
