    *** Official #25 Baylor vs #3 IOWA STATE Game(Day) Thread ***

TJ convinced Fish to come back this year after he entered the portal. I don't think anyone on this roster is so untalented that TJ going to run them off, as long as the guys are putting in the work.

    Tenderloin on highway 34

I'm driving across western, central Iowa with the boy today on highway 34. Omaha to Ottumwa. Any of you know of a great tenderloin available from a hole in the wall establishment we could stop at?

    Thoughts on New Mexico

I've spent a fair bit of time in Santa Fe, walked all around the city. I never felt unsafe, never encountered a neighborhood that I thought was too unsafe for me to live. I've only been to ABQ a couple of times. It's higher crime than Omaha, but most is property crime not violent, I believe.

    Thoughts on New Mexico

I intend on retiring to Santa Fe/Taos in a few years. I'm a resounding yes for purely selfish reasons.

I would assume that we're in on Curtis Stinson Jr.

    2022 Concerts

I was there too. Buddy is right, best arena show I've ever seen. Very cinematic and all the pyrotechnics. So much fire.

    Turnpike Troubadours tour

I got tickets to the council bluffs show. Steve Earle and the Old 97s playing too. Great lineup.

If you could take 1 former Cyclone and add them to the current roster, who would you choose and why?

Fizer is choice one. Elite scorer good defender and rebounder. He could also his the three when left open. I like Royce and what he brings on the court, but I don't want him anywhere near this locker room. I don't think he'd buy what TJ is selling. Niang or even Kenny Pratt would be choice two...

    Neil Gaiman

You would like a Neverwhere show to get a re-make. It was originally a BBC limited series made in the 90's that Gaiman worked on. After it was completed, he rewrote the script into a novel. The Neverwhere series was good considering the times it was made in and the limited budget they had to...

    OT: Watchmen on HBO

Best show of the year. I've read the graphic novel and am watching with my wife who isn't a superhero fan. So she has no context and loves it. The Doctor Manhattan reveal floored me. Did not see that coming.

    Hinterland 2019

I like Kacey and Jade Bird on day one. Day two is very solid for me. Everytime I've wanted to see Isbell something has come up, so that really excites me. Only Brett Cobb interests me on Day 3, so unless he plays early I'll probably skip that day.

    Gas or Charcoal?

My kids are 11 and 13 now so it's not much of an issue, but even when they were young I liked charcoal for that very reason. It was the only time I could sit down and drink a beer in peace. "No honey, I've got to stay out here and watch the charcoal. Some kid might get burned if I don't keep an...

    Westworld

That's the "Good Samaritan" code that exists in all hosts. What that code does is try to stop human on human violence. If one human tries to kill another human, hosts are programmed to stop it. That applies to all humans, not just Ford.

I don't think any of him is. All hosts have code embedded in them respond to certain verbal commands and cues. He's just put some extra code in all hosts that gives him a higher level of security and additional commands that aren't available to others.

Friday OT #1 - Your Blue Line

This was around 1992, I was 17 or so. I had a bitchin' '77 Camaro. The body was full of cracked bondo, but it had a built 350 and would fly. My best friend, Billy, was driving that night, and he normally drove a Chevy Citation. With him driving we were enjoying the visceral feeling of getting...
