    I was at Arizona for the game but it was not nearly as loud as Hilton of 30 plus years ago with students mixed around the building. We had the upper deck moving by yelling and jumping up and down for the Oklahoma State game and the Lafester game plus several of the Kansas games in those years...

    My wife and I will be going to both ISU games as well as the Suns game Saturday night. We fly down Friday evening and back on the Wednesday after the games. I’ve talked to a few others that are making the trip down so should be interesting to see how many make the trip.

    For reference, my wife and I just paid a bit over $8,000 for the ticket and hotel package this year (6 nights). In 2018, we paid $5,300 for 5 nights. The Kaanapali Hotels were about $420 per night in 2018 and over $900 a night now so that is the big difference. Pricing changed in a big way...

    I did the same as I was planning to see all the games anyway. The lineups are going to be so good for this event. Too bad the hotels have doubled in price since the 2018 Tournament though. package prices are substantially up this time.

    If you have the March Madness App (free), you can at least watch the condensed games at between 10 and 13 minutes each. Has this years full tourney and then clips for some game highlights over the years, including the Hampton game we all want to forget, one shining moment, etc.

    Chicago flights

    Living in Mason City and have family in Chicago. Drive time is 5 1/2 hours. Air travel time with arrival, check-in, flight, departure and transport into Chicago is only 60 minutes less than driving. Very handy to fly, but I still end up driving most of the time just to not rent a car.

    My wife and I were in Italy a few weeks ago and watched Melvin play in two of the playoff games on TV. Funny as last year we were in Hungary and watched Babb play in a game. Now we just turn on the TV in Europe and bet on whether we will see an ex-Cyclone or not.
