Jim Rose - KFAB Omaha - talking up ISU while lamenting the Huskers
Somewhat nice things to say about the Cyclones - in a maneuver to slam current Husker football. Very similar to things you hear from the Texas side of things. Living here in Omaha it's weird to be here with an almost?? hapless NU football team after living through the 1990's with Husker Nation... -

Perdictions for ISU's Attendence at the Alamo Bowl?
I'm a real engineer and no offense taken. I was also the Chief Structural Engineer of the Alamodome so if you are going to the game, rest assured there is adequate levels of safety factor on the 378 ft. long x 50 ft. deep trusses over your head. And lots of rebar in the four vertical 300 ft... -

Someone was asking in an earlier thread about whether the roof was open or closed at Reliant Stadium when we played TCU. Here's a photo of the stadium during the game and it appears to be open. -
Alamodome
When the Alamodome was originally built, some dude in San Antonio had the foresight to trademark the name "Alamodome". The city, and the mayor (Henry Cisneros) were already devoted to that name and I think they had to pay the guy something to get it. It was otherwise compared to a dead...
