    I learned the CRVs since 2014 run hot on oil and can lead to burning out the engine before when a synthetic oil change (7,500 miles) is due. Still a good vehicle with resale far above Chevy and GMC.

    Because while you are correct in the modest and conservative investment strategy, you are incorrect. $50K is the minimum to create an endowed fund. The rule of thumb is 5% of the corpus is dispersed annually. A $100K endowed fund would disperse $5K annually, and so on.
