    Ankeny water ban

    Never. It's Kentucky bluegrass, it's a feature not a bug, that when the weather is hot and dry it goes brown and goes dormant. Then you don't have to mow, and then when it cools down or rains, it greens back up. I also mow it 3-4" tall, which also helps it grab dew, hold moisture, and stay green.

    Sukup Indy race

    I'll be there. Went to both Indy and Nascar last year, and doing both this year too. Was spoiled last year though for Indy, as I was given 2 hard cards so we could go anywhere in the infield/garage/pit road and bypass the lines to get into the grand stands.

    *Updated* MN advancing law that would ban the requirement of HOAs for new developments. Iowa does the opposite.

    You keep spouting your MN property taxes are 50% lower than your Iowa property tax. Just pointing out it's b/c someone else is paying the rest of the tax burden through farm property taxes, and income taxes. MN doesn't do it for less than Iowa since overall they are taxing higher than Iowa.

    2025 Real Estate Assessment

    Yeah the district, city, and county are all going up too, Ankeny sent out that letter last month too. Over 12% for a 2.4% actual increase... They all use the other going up as an excuse to raise theirs. My assessment is going up 5%, and it's only that low b/c I had to protest the last one...

    And yet I've never had property taxes go down on what I own, ever. Looking at my house's entire tax history, it went down once in it's 20 years, by a whole $128. What a savings :rolleyes:

    Yeah, a Casey's quality all depends on it's local management and employees. The one closest to my house is fairly decent. It should be though, they've used it in a couple of commercials. :D
