    Also, keep in mind that ISU could be said to have caught the same lightning. We had a lot of breaks go our way last year that you just can't rely on the same luck again. Could be why we aren't getting the respect of an 11-win team.

    ESPN has an article, "32 Teams that can make the Playoff." They include Tulane, SMU, UNLV, Baylor, Kansas, TCU, Nebraska. I think they have 7 or 8 Big 12 teams. But no ISU. Great bulletin board material in Ames I bet!

    Fall ‘25 Roster Heights and Weights Update

    I counted 121 guys on our roster today. So that 105 limit I guess is not yet in effect. Don't we get a year delay on that? I never read anything about that when the Settlement was finally approved.

    Well, I didn't want to say that, but with the new rules and pay for play, yeah. It's like the WNBA players saying pay us what you owe us. Well, technically, they are losing $250,000 per player from what I hear. So, they are owed nothing. Same will apply to all college non-revenue sports...

    Public parking is on sale starting today. I went into the site and about all I am seeing is tickets for resale. $135. $237. For one game. Is that how it always is? How are all the tickets presold before today when they supposedly just went on sale?

    Conference Schedule

    I saw a headline (On3) saying the Big 12 coaches voting puts K State and ISU in the conference championship game in December. Not much respect for ASU or TTU. Only real question is, did the coaches really do the poll, or was it the guy who does the laundry?

    On talk radio it seems they are pretty excited about maybe going 8-4 this year. Just seems like 8 or 9 is always going to be their ceiling for wins.     2025-26 Schedule

    ESPN top 25 only has 6 teams ranked from Big 12. No Baylor, no K State, no Cincinnati. We have some teams that it would be nice for them to step up their game. Maybe they will. If they have the funds. I fear the imbalance in football profits is affecting basketball too.

    RECRUITING: Jett Thomalla (4-star QB 2026 commit) flips to Alabama

    Keep in mind who our head coach is and how much he deeply cares about the young men he develops relationships with. I have no doubt he and Thomalla are still good. And if we add another QB, I would expect it is with the understanding we would still take back Thomalla, unlikely as it may be.
