    Had never heard of this guy before. Looked up his bio. Medal of Honor and Naval Cross. He was a badass.

    I didn't say he wasn't good before that, just not my cup of tea. You have to agree that Joker was his best performance and put him on a different level though. He didn't win an Oscar for any of his other roles, and the movie was released posthumously.

    Kobes daughter would probably be a superstar in women's college basketball right now and her dad would have been a huge ambassador for the sport. Terrible human tragedy, but women's basketball also lost a lot that day.

    I think 6,8, and 9 were the ones who had their careers cut short the most. I suppose I would go with 6 and 8 of those 3. Love Farley but after Tommy Boy it was getting pretty rough.

    Collective bargaining is one of the few ways in which they could get around anti-trust laws. Athlete pay is already spiraling out of control and will eventually threaten every non-revenue college sport, so what are they afraid of at this point?

    I've asked the same thing many times myself and no one can give an answer. Why is it so hard to make the athletes employees? Most universities literally have thousands of student employees already.

    I remember when I was a kid we always used to stop at the Goldfield cheese Mart on the way to my grandparents house in northern Iowa. The cheese curds from there were amazing.

    To each their own, but I always hated blue cheese. The fact that "veiny" is a desirable quality makes it even worse.
