Kids leaving the nest - how to cope?

You're in the early stages. There will still be times when he comes home, but they become less and less frequent. Enjoy them all. My girls are 27 now, both living in Austin while we are now in Chicagoland since last Summer. One of my girls used to refer to me as her best friend, even after...

*** Cyclone Fanatic Fast Food Tournament Sweet 16 ***

I remember the one in Ames 50 years ago, where you had to phone in your order from the booth. I remember back then there was the Papa Bear, Mama Bear, and Baby Bear burgers (or something along those lines). There's one just around the corner from my office. Maybe I need to head over for lunch...

No Cane's, McD's, No Taco Bell, Shake Shack, Wing Stop, Chipotle? But somehow A&W made it in for consideration?

    Favorite part of ISU campus

A couple of favorite memories from Freshman Year was Old Botany (closed at the time) and the massive tree in front of it with low, ground-level branches, affectionately called the Shroom Tree. We used to climb onto the roof of Old Bot while on shrooms and also sit in the shroom tree on shrooms...

    What's streaming that's good TV/movies

The last episode of season 2 does kind of make it feel like they wrapped it up, but it was still a good season.

    What's streaming that's good TV/movies

I don't recall who specifically brought attention to Project Hail Mary on here, but HOLY SH!T what a phenomenal movie!!! This is why I love this thread! BTW - if you're old like me (58) we finished season 2 of Four Seasons on Netflix. Quick episodes, pretty decent. Clearly aimed at old people...

Speaking of Handmaid's Tale... we just finished watching The Testaments on Hulu last night which is the spinoff of Handmaids. It was actually pretty good. Not quite as anguishing as Handmaids, but it pushed the story forward really well.

    What's streaming that's good TV/movies

How is this any different than people saying "xxxxxxxx movie is a MUST SEE! It's amazing!"? "... as if their opinion will be the same as everyone else's."

If you saw funny clips you saw all the highlights. Just stop at those.

If you haven't watched the Kevin Hart roast on Netflix... don't. It was just bad. I wanted to like it but it was just bad.

Agree that this was unexpectedly very good! Really enjoyed it! (and I don't care for Sally Fields)

I just watched the finale last night. They've left the door open for continuing the Vought story line, but thought the finale was pretty good.

    Dumbest Thing You Believed

This is/was actually a valid concern (in a way) but far less so now. Because houses were built w/ copper pipe plumbing the concern was that if you were in the shower/bath that a lighting strike could electrocute you as the current carried through the pipes (and ultimately to the...
