    Smoking Meat Questions and Discussion

I bought a 590 a year and a half ago before they re-styled them. My experience has been mostly positive. The shipping is via LTL and tons of grills show up damaged because of it. I shipped two back because of damage, and the third showed up damaged as well. It was relatively minor so I pounded...

I definitely get the micro transaction hate, but that is mostly limited to one specific game mode and cosmetics. I don't like them either so I avoid those modes. Micro transactions have started extending into every day life in a lot of different ways and will only get worse.

I thought looked great - At the end of the day it's a video game. There's some folks in here that I'm pretty sure wont be satisfied regardless of what EA does with the game. I'm just pumped to have the series back.

I used to be the guy that would hold out until November on the furnace and June for the AC but gave up on it a few years ago. At the end of the day it doesn't cost that much more to flip the switch and the comfort is worth it to our family.

And I think it will be way more successful in the modern version of the game than in the previous versions, simply because of NIL.

    EA Sports NCAA Football game

The thing is, there was a huge lawsuit back then regarding likenesses in these games and EA's argument was that they weren't using player likenesses and everything was generic (which was obviously not true). That's the reason the game ended in the first place - They had to figure out how to...

I don't think they could have ported '14 without opening an entire can of worms regarding NIL.

Don't have a Traeger, but I do have a grill with WiFi and its nice but probably not $400 nice. I'm guessing the larger difference is that the more expensive one probably has a PID controller vs a non-PID in the cheaper one. If that is the case, I personally would say yes it's worth it. YMMV.

do's and don'ts of the best man's wedding speech

Definitely a "know your crowd" moment but one of the funniest I've witnessed. The best man brought 7 or 8 keys to the wedding and handed them out to some older ladies (50-70ish) that were willing to play along. He gave the standard speech then ended it with a line about how in his earlier years...

    Smoking Meat Questions and Discussion

Probably a valid concern, especially if you cook at high temps often. I pretty much exclusively use mine at 300 degrees and below. It's also pretty rare that I see grease get below the drip tray for any reason.

    Smoking Meat Questions and Discussion

I have a RecTeq and their mantra is that you should scoop out the firebox every few cooks, but only vacuum out the bottom of the grill about once per year. They claim it helps insulate during the cold months, helps catch fly-away ash, and catches grease that happens to drip into the bottom of...

IMO I think that's because WU actually tries to forecast precipitation totals rather than just precipitation chance. We may end up getting more than the tenth they are saying, but bigger picture is that it's saying the total is trending downward from earlier today.

WU is technically still saying a 90% chance, but it's fine from almost an inch projected this morning to under a quarter inch now.

The advantage that area had was that they were very, very dry through the early and middle part of the growing season which allowed good root mass development and they really took advantage of the July and August rain that they did get. West central Iowa was the opposite where we started with...

Beans are remarkable at handling dry weather. The places that consistently produce 80+ bushel yields (Nebraska and Kansas in my experience) are arid climates with irrigation. The dry air helps prevent disease development and then they can crank the water to them during pod fill. Corn sets it's...

We did/do need a lot of rain, we just didn't need it all in 2.5 weeks. We've been fortunate the past couple years for timely rains during the summer that produced good yields, but the subsoil moisture is still very depleted. Even with the rain we are receiving now we will still need some timely...
