No need to worry about a 10th win. Getting to 6 on the other hand..... wouldn’t that stink to not be bowl eligible because of a cancelled game.

There's been years when Iowa had 6 wins even with a 12 game schedule and still didn't get invited. Wouldn't that stink to not be bowl eligible even though you're bowl eligible.

As much as many of us (self included) are currently saying we'd be plenty happy with 9 wins, if we do end up, post-bowl, with 9 wins, there will be plenty of moaning and gnashing of teeth 'bout not having that chance at a 10th win in the season opener.

CF'ers have very, very long memories when it comes to things we can complain about!

Wasn't there one year where they played two FCS (1-AA back then) schools in the same season, but could only count one toward bowl eligibility? Or maybe I'm thinking of some other school.

ISU knows all about not getting bowl invites. How many times in the past 20 years have they even been eligible? 2,3?

How many times in the past 20 years has Iowa not gotten ass packed by a far superior team in a bowl they didn’t deserve? 2,3?

K State did that in 2009

All we have to do is each week, win the game we are playing that week. By the end of the season, we will have double digits in the win column.

The tie-breaker for getting into the conference championship game is overall win %, which makes me extremely nervous, and makes me think JP will have a plan in place to play someone on our bye week (FCS team with a waiver if I had to guess today) to make sure that isn’t an issue.
