Sorry sunshine pumpers, but a pre-season final 4 candidate losing a critical game to a team not projected to make the dance is embarrassing.
By now cyclone fans should be getting over being embarrassed.

We can be average defensively if McKay is great. Unfortunately, he turned into a crazy chick this year.
-WTF was Nader thinking on his 5th foul? All 5 of his fouls were dumb.
-How do you miss that goaltend call?
-There is nothing more furious to me than missing a front end.
-That bank as the shot clock expired was stupid.
My only hope is that we some how get hot in March (like UCONN 2 years ago) and we put together a run.
Obviously I dont watch alot of Texas Tech games. For one, I dont enjoy watching a bottom feeder team play crap basketball in front of 2,000 fans. Any way you want to spin this, its still a horrible loss. If you feel better by telling yourself we lost to a bubble team go right ahead.
The only reason they are even considered a bubble team is because the field expanded to 68. Now every team 3 games over .500 will be on the bubble. All I have to do is look at their schedule to know what kind of team they are. Was it their non-conference wins over Minnesota or Richmond that make them so good?
Last year's team was bad for the heart. This year's team has no heart.
Who specifically on our team do you feel played poorly tonight?..
I'm upset we lost...but the difference between us is I'm smart enough to realize you can play good and still lose, and play poorly and still win...we played better tonight than we did in a lot of our wins this year. A lot of people (yourself included) just don't understand the game well enough to realize it.
Maybe not, but I'm smart enough to realize losing 3 out of 4 to that joke of a program is not good. If we played well we would have beaten them handily. Even without McKay we have much more talent.
This team played their ***** off tonight. We have a short bench and these guys played most of the night 5 vs. 8 as that was some of the worse officiating I have ever seen. Our team tried to grind out a win with Nader, Burton and Niang in foul trouble. I wished they good have finished but you can't go after this group for lack of effort in this one.
What's funny is that if Niang hits a free throw you people wouldn't be complaining about blowing a lead. You would just say "a win is a win when you are on the road with foul trouble and minus a starter ". It's unbearable reading some of the crap you guys post after a loss.
But he didn't. If my aunt had balls she'd be my uncle.
I don't know how anybody could say this team isn't incredibly frustrating...some people cope differently than others. It goes over the top at times but I'm about as ****** as I've been in a long time tonight. At least nobody used "wake up call" in the post game interviews.
I can't even get the Cabo photos to tag properly, sounds about right.

This team is frustrating...but we played pretty good for the most part tonight. Georges was great. Monte was good. Burton was good. Nader was good (although he had a few bonehead plays). Thomas chased Gotcher around all night. And our bench (Cooke, Ashton, Carter) was as good as it normally would be.
We played better tonight than we have in a lot of our wins this year.
I don't disagree with you and others saying we played decently and with heart. Scary thought is that means what we saw tonight is our ceiling, and it wasn't good enuff to beat a team projected to be in the NIT.
Sobering thought.
