If we beat West Virginia I bet we jump to #9 and Gameday comes to Ames for the Oklahoma State game.

Okie State needs to beat OU though. Otherwise TCU/OU will objectively be a better match up.

I wouldn't place money on this at all. Other games being played that weekend:

#24 MSU vs #3 OSU (and you know Derpstreit is lobbying for this)
#1 Alabama vs #21 MissSt
#2 Georgia vs #16 Auburn
#10 TCU vs #8 OU

But the game that they're clearly going to cover:
#5 Notre Dame vs #9 Miami (Catholics vs Convicts)

In defense, if we win as does Okie St, you have a possibility of 2 top 10 teams playing. How do you not come to Ames especially with the story we have going?

Because Catholics vs Convicts. Just like they would rather do a Penn St game in back-to-back weeks in Columbus than come to Ames and cover the story that we have going. That's why.

It's great what is happening in Ames right now. ISU deserves the ranking and the kudos. Pollard might just want to hand over the checkbook to Campbell right now and end any speculation.

It's amazing how much national bias there is towards the Little 10. PSU and OSU are very good. MSU and Mich are the next level down. Wisky (2017 fake ID of college football) really can't be quantified right now due to the Hoks schedule of 2 years ago. Yet everyone at ESPN sees the conference as world beaters. We will find out how good Bucky is (like the 2015 Hoks) come Little 10 title game and subsequent bowl. We all know how well that worked out for the TOE. The rest of the Little 10 is mediorce to bad, and I'm being generous. The Little 10 West is embarassing.
How do we know PSU and tOSU are good? Again, UW, PSU, tOSU, UM and MSU have exactly 1 win over teams currently ranked, which was tOSU over PSU. MSU was housed by ND and tOSU was handled pretty easily by OU. I'm not saying these teams are bad, we just have nothing that proves they are good. Piss pounding Purdue and Rutgers doesn't mean much to me. People need to stop trying to apply precedent to what the CFP committee does. Their precedent is to be wildly inconsistent to get the tOSUs of he world into the playoff over the TCUs.
