You guys are so savvy.
As for 1460, Chris and Ross are an upgrade, but I wouldn't want to "have a beer" with either. So when the banter starts, I change the station. But the sports talk is good enough to listen for 10-15 minutes.

I only listen to KXNO now for Cardinals baseball--and they've started slipping that horrid "rap" station ID into the program. I have to force down regurgitation when that monstrosity comes on. If they keep it up, I may have to give up the Cards broadcast altogether.
I think Chris and Ross are a great pairing and a refreshing change from the failed combinations that had that time slot before them. They find a way to keep the show on the lighter side while still keeping things sports relevant and fairly unbiased I think and they definitely are not shock jock types which is refreshing. I think since they started they have gradually become much better as they've gotten into a groove and should continue too.
I prefer 1460, Murph and Andy are obviously a good listen so nothing much to say there that most don't already know. I'm hit or miss on a given day with the Morning Rush though. Some mornings it's not too bad but others I find myself flipping to some music if they are beating a topic to death. Seems like the morning show has always been a sore spot on 1460 as far back as I can remember. Hate to say this but I would almost rather have Cotlar back in that spot because at least he brought in a lot of guests and kept it mostly sports talk even if his interview skills leave something to be desired. I've tried to listen to 1700 in the morning but I just can't get into Jimmy B anymore. He was funny paired up with Miller because he and Ken knew how to push each others buttons and make it entertaining but this time around with his new co-host I just can't hold interest long enough.
Obviously I can't stand Marty and Miller, Marty for the most part is why. A few times when the Cardinals have been on I flipped over and found myself switching to music not long after because Marty is still the same annoying shock jock idiot and Ken plays along with it. When Ken did his show on KXNO without Marty he was a lot easier to listen to but now that he's gone back to work with that scumbag it's almost like their strategy is let's just talk crap about anyone/anything we can offend and hope people listen and call in to argue with us so Marty is able to pull in enough advertisers to stay on the air so he can pay down his massive debts. Can't stand his voice, his annoying laugh, and don't respect him as a human being in general so Chris and Ross you could completely tank with your show and I'd still listen to you over them!
I listen to all the Cardinal games on KXNO as well. So you are wrong. There are a lot of Cardinal fans in Des Moines. You must be The only one. People actually listen to baseball on the radio? I can't even stand to watch it most times.

Brinson is on 1700 now? Wasn't he leaving for some big job in Arkansas or something like that?
Love listening to the Cubs on KRNT, as well. You must be The only one. People actually listen to baseball on the radio? I can't even stand to watch it most times.
Trent Condon is absolutely awful. If we're seeing the "real side" of CW, it always sounds like you're getting the exact opposite with Trent. I think it makes it worse that he has been M & M's little fan boy in the afternoons.
Samesies. KRNT does a good job.Love listening to the Cubs on KRNT, as well.

I'll go on a long sports listening sprees in my office on days there are no meetings. I listen to Sirius XM usually. Morning Men are ok but when they bash players unfairly I change it. Adam Schein is the man, I listen to him most of the time. Stephen A has outrageous agendas and can really sound like a clown. Rome is usually pretty solid money. I'll go to the 1460 website if I'll listen to Chris/Murph and Andy. Only booger eaters like CloneNotReallyinWDSM, Rabbutt, CyCrapy, and CryRob enjoy that Morning Rush crapola. JT the Brick use to be good but he's sounding more washed up by the day. Big fan of him like 8 years ago.
