I still don't understand this argument that I see over and over and over on CF. Texas Tech and TCU would still be garbage in the MVC. Tech lost by 18 on a neutral court to the 6th place team in the MVC. Bradley, the last place team in the MVC, lost by 3 at Kansas State and by 8 on a neutral court against TCU. Those two teams are absolutely terrible and would be playing on Thursday in St. Louis for the MVC Tournament.

As for the rest of the Big 12, yes they are certainly better than teams 3-10 in the MVC. I think UNI and Wichita State would be mixed in that log jam in the middle of the Big 12 standings.

However, please stop saying Texas Tech and TCU would be the in the top half of the MVC... and Illinois State is the 5th place team in the MVC, not the 3rd place team FWIW.

Sagarin has WSU 17th, UNI 26th, TCU 56th, and every other MVC team below 80.

I'm not delusional thinking TCU finishes top half of MVC, they'd most likely finish 3rd...yet in the Big 12 they are 9/10.

You don't see how 3rd place Illinois State sucks donkey balls compared to 3rd place Oklahoma? Thanks for playing and displaying that you don't live in this reality. Drop Illinois State in the Big 12 and they are fighting TCU and Tech for the bottom spot. TCU is really talented, they were undefeated in the part of the season they got to play MVC caliber schedule. Look up what happened when TCU (who would be the MVC's most athletic and big team) played MVC caliber non-conf, undefeated.
They were comparing Illinois State to TCU and Texas Tech, not Oklahoma. That was his point.

TCU has more top 50 RPI wins (2) than anyone else in the MVC. I think they would be in the top half of the MVC.

Not sure if serious... did you even read my post? or did you just read the first sentence?

I read enough to know you know less about TCU than I do about the MVC. TCU's roster is a beast in terms of size and athleticism compared to your entire conference. They didn't pick up a loss when they got to play an MVC caliber slate in non-conf.

And I'm saying Illinois State is worse than TCU (which just looking at the teams physically is obvious), Illinois State was third when UNI just played them, Oklahoma is our third place team right now.

The point is their third place team, whoever it is at the time, can't even challenge the top two. There's no third team even remotely in the bubble talk.

If we put Iowa and UNI in the big 12, the bottom standings would be:

UNI
Iowa
TCU
Tech

Not saying it to knock on UNI, I just don't see them being better than anyone else in the conference.

The Valley has two teams with very nice records. Both have players that I would love to see on the Cyclone team.

But I don't think either one are in the top 13 in the country, nor do I think they will make it to the Sweet 16.

TCU is actually pretty talented, and they would have some more wins in the Big 12 if they could actually make free throws( they are near last in the country in FT%). I have no problem believing that TCU could succeed in the MVC. Texas Tech would be battling with Drake at the bottom of the conference though. TTU doesn't make shots unless they have plenty of space, and even then they don't make many of them.

If they don't they are busts now, WSU two years straight.

I wouldn't consider either to be bust if they didn't make it the Sweet Sixteen this year. Both had great seasons. Just over-rated.

Last year, however, WSU could have gone further with the talent they had.

I always find it kind of funny when pollsters feel they need to reward mid majors for accomplishing nothing just so they don't look like they are biased. Are Wichita State and UNI solid teams this year? Sure. Are they two of the 25 best in the country? No ******* way.

UNI really can't do anything to prove they are better than 15-20 or so, WSU can barely prove they deserve to be top 25...yet they keep crawling up this poll as you knew they would. Committee usually sorts it out better than this poll in terms of making sure teams have actually won some tough games.

Duke does have some really impressive wins though. Their resume is pretty damn stellar. And their only loss in the past month was the same week they won @UVA, which is probably the biggest win in the entire nation this year.

@Wisconsin, @LVille, @UVA, beat ND by 30 at home.

I agree they have big wins but on a week they win one and lose to an unranked like they did earlier this year how do they only drop 2 spots? We have good wins too

We don't have anything like the ones I listed on the road. Those wins are just incredible. They don't get better. Of all the things to rustle my jimmies, that's low on the list. Plus when you're going from undefeated to 1 loss or 1 loss to 2 and only 4 or so schools have 2 or less losses with quality schedules its hard to argue.

Look at us this week. We were similar and stayed the same.

I will give you tech, but TCU would be. They are a decent team just a tad behind the rest. KState was bad non con but recovered.
