So... if we were still on the same schedule rotation as before realignment... assuming the same teams won the same games against each other... OSU wouldve missed us and gone undefeated if they also beat nebraska. KSU wouldve missed Oklahoma and wouldve come away 11-1 (assuming they beat nebraska\CU).

You would assume with KSU beating us today that it would put them in a BCS game along with Oklahoma State. If that happens look for Oklahoma to move into the Cotton Bowl. Personally I feel that Okie State deserves to be in the BCS Championship game over Alabama. Bama did not win their conference!

The biggest question for 2 B12 teams getting in the BCS is TCU.

Do they get up to #16 or not?

You know Alabama and Stanford are locks. Michigan will probably find a way up to #14 to grab a spot. If TCU doesn't make it, some bowl will be left trying to decide between Va Tech and K-State. Who would they choose???

Yeah, I think so. I think with everything happening (Georgia losing, OK losing huge, Houston losing) it should happen. I think Houston losing got the B12 two and probably got Michigan in as well. That one is one no one saw coming.

WVU is in a BCS game.
OK State is in a BCS game.
KSU might be
TCU might be
KSU and TCU both might be
even Baylor might be a possible at large choice

That's 2-4 BCS teams from the real Big 12 :)

Meanwhile A&M fired their coach and Mizzou is praying the bowls don't reject them for Iowa State like usual.

All depends on if TCU gets in top 16. If they don't, KSU to BCS, ISU to Holiday!

I don't think TCU makes it into the top 16. The only team that lost that wasn't at least six spots ahead of them in the human polls was Georgia. The computers are really going to hurt TCU.

what I don't understand is why does everyone say Mich should get a bcs spot over KSU. Just because they are Mich?

KSU has clearly the better resume.

Why does everyone assume if TCU is in the top 16, they are BCS bound? That just makes them eligible, right? They still would have to get voted in over KSU, correct? Just asking.

If a team from a non-AQ conference finishes in the top 16 they get in I believe. Only the best team from a non-AQ though.

I just think it's wrong if the Big 10 gets 2 teams in when they were a complete joke of a conference this year. Both KSU and Baylor are WAY better than Michigan is.

But, it's all about $$$$$$ people. And bowls want Michigan. Just remember, college football isn't about putting the best teams in bowls... it's about making the most $$$$$$. That's it.

LSU would easily beat okie st by 3 or 4 touchdowns. They just have to much team speed on defense. The best match up will be with alabama even though it will be a boring one, it will be close.

This is a valid argument.

There is also the argument that teams only play 13 or 14 games a year and 120 FBS football teams. Alabama had their chance and could have been in the national title game if they would have won their game against LSU, now it's time to give somebody else a chance.

Honestly, I'm not sure which stance I agree with more. I think Oklahoma State in the title game makes better tv and a more interesting matchup, so that's what I hope happens. But, on the other hand, I can't argue too much against an LSU-Bama game.

If you really don't like that LSU and Bama play each other, just don't watch the game. If its the lowest rated title game in BCS history, there's a possibility for TV to become a factor in making sure the national title game isn't a rematch in the future.

Latest from the rumor mill (from at least somewhat reputable sources)

TCU does not look to make the top 16, therefore will not be in a BCS game.

Instead, Kansas State looks to be a favorite to be selected by the Sugar Bowl as reps indicate they would take them.

And, despite my best efforts to believe otherwise the voters have decided that Michigan (despite being idle) is worth jumping up 5 spots and therefore we likely squeeze in at the #14 spot in BCS rankings and of course be chosen (likely by the Sugar Bowl too)
