In my experience, either the winning goal will be scored in the first three minutes, or we're going to 3 OT's.

Disappointed that the Blackhawks lost. Those were two evenly matched teams, and this game just went the Kings way in the end.

Those are the best two teams in hockey. Great series but really wanted Chicago to win. Now I have 0% interest in the NHL stanley cup series and the NBA finals. On to football!

Ratings will be sky-high for the finals. Two biggest markets in the country.

Sure LA has more people, but Chicago actually pulls better ratings for hockey. NHL/NBC would have loved Chicago vs NY. Two biggest hockey draws by far.

Well not counting Toronto I guess...

I can't believe what I just saw!

Go Kings Go! Fantastic series between two heavyweights. Sorry to see it end. I'd pay to see those squads go another 7

Whoa - you can't compare NY and Chicago - Rangers fans fill MSG no matter what. Blackhawks fans come out only when their team is winning. I went to a Red Wings game at the United Center in 2007 and the place was half-full; and half of those were cheering for the Wings...

No kidding. LA did a local rating of 3 for game 6, Chicago did a 16. It's not even close. Two original 6 teams in the Stanley Cup is exactly what the NHL wants. LA doesn't give a **** about hockey.

??? Barry Melrose just now on ESPN: "A Rangers - Kings final is a dream come true for the NHL."

Kings have like 120 sellouts in a row, do you understand what time they put play-off games on out here?
5 or 6 PM. Sometimes there are factors like that that can negatively impact viewership.

Go Kings Go, I will be in my seat on Wednesday night hoping the hoist the cup for the 2nd time in 3 years.

For the record, Buffalo had a higher television viewership than the LA market did for last nights game...

I watched the game, but I was totally tempted to hit the beach.

The Kings fans are still a small number but growing in size and enthusiasm. The worst sin a team can make in LA is to lose. The Kings did plenty of that for most of the team's history. Keep bringing the cup back to LA and the city will give some notice.

Kings in 7. They're playing waay to damn good. Gaborik and Kopitar are killing it right now.
Quick has some issues that need to be addressed.

On the Flip side.. St. Louis is playing lights out right now for NY.

This is gonna be one hell of a series.

Hands down this was the best playoffs in a long long time.

Check attendance records for the kings over the last decade, they have plenty of support through good and bad years. Market share stats can be a bit deceiving when you are talking about a metropolitan area of around 15 million people. Upper bowl tickets for Wednesday's game are $400 and they will sell out.
