If a player does not have the puck you should not be able to hit them period. In the playoffs especially they allow the players to hit when the puck is long gone. It hurts the game.

I was surprised Seabrook's suspension was not longer. Cooke should get one as well.

Unfortunately, there are players and fans who are there to see blood on the ice and love this stuff.

The Wings need to figure something out. They set up camp in their own zone all night long. Boston man-handled them in every aspect of the game. They just pushed them around. Wings were fast, but couldn't keep the puck long enough to do anything with it and when they did get chances Rask was unbelievable in the net. Might as well put up a wall, we would have a better chance at scoring then. Maybe its time Babby gives the monster a look. Howard is making some dumb mistakes (see game 2 first goal).

Most people with half a brain in Detroit were of the opinion that it might have been better for the Wings to tank to improve themselves in the draft because this year's team isn't up to par - good enough to make the playoffs, but that's about it. Except they have this 20+ year playoff streak going and the fans are clinging to it so tightly that they can't see it might be better for them to let that go to improve the team.

I agree with you jdog, and I'm one of those fans that want to continue to see them in the playoffs. However, you have a valid point. We need to have a better draft position to continue to improve this team. However on the flip side with the addition of all the young guns from Grand Rapids we have breathed new life into the team. I don't see the Wings getting past Boston so that will leave plenty of time for Babby and Holland to figure out what this team needs. *cough* DEFENSE *cough cough* *cough get rid of Bertuzzi *cough*

Hey Carl, word on the street is Zetty will be in the lineup tonight! That will be a huge boost. Wings win 2-1 to tie the series.

Go wings! You guys can thank me for the lead, I got all my superstitions covered this game. Wearing my lucky wings hoodie, eating wings while watching, and even got a good juju ginger beer from left hand brewery.

Seriously though, Zetterberg has made a huge difference in this game. The power play has been completely transformered and in general he's been huge. And of course, kronwall is having a great game. We better pull it out now.
