Obviously not but keep up the stupid. Fact is Abdel is bigger, can put the ball on the floor, and still hit the three ball. But keep insisting that guys that will be fired if they mess this up picked the wrong guy.

He is similar size and skill set to BDJ. Doesn't probably create his own shot as well, but does other things better than BDJ too.

Drafting Nader over Uthoff is like drafting Richardson over Beathard.

Nah, Nader had big clutch games at times and wanted the ball late. Uthoff peed his pants when games were on the line.

Both of them were among the most physically gifted in college hoops. Nader wanted to make big plays. JU wanted to hide.

Ask Andy Fales. Uthoff was the better player on a better team. Ditto that Hawk troll Brennan who somehow has a job writing college hoops for ESPN.

For the life of me, I don't know how anyone can listen to Andy Fales.

I hope someone asks him on their radio show tomorrow

I'm pretty sure that DanL guy is a megatroll who had a dozen accounts in our Iowa BBall recruiting thread. I already left him a nice synopsis of his theory on Iowa have lots more NBA talent than ISU.
While still obnoxious there is far more intellect in that forum than a hawk nation. The last post in their draft thread is below

The nba is stupid

Yes. Uthoff will get a good chance to make a team. But he just comes across as odd. That weird article today with the starring at the back of the airplane seat. The article about wanting to be a role player. I think you want guys willing to be a role player, but not guys whose sim is that.

It's really pretty impressive that Nader and Niang both got drafted given the huge amount of foreign players taken. It had to have helped Niang that he looked like the best player in those combine scrimmages.

Yet with Morris and BDJ last year, I still lament that we didn't have a run deeper than 16. We've had a lot of elite college level talent these past few years, will continue at least next year with Monte and hopefully others.

Wait wait wait. Iowa State and OU just got more players drafted than the rest of the Big 12?

I can understand the staring. The poor guy just put himself through years of coaching by Bo Ryan and Mad Fran. What a masochist. Probably still shell shocked.

Really too bad the NCAA sucks and is so corrupt. Malou should never have been forced into this years draft. We could have had back to back years of 2 players drafted.

I didn't closely follow numerous mock-draft analyses.

What was the highest Georges was projected?

I assume Nader wasn't even on the Rad(e)r.

Beats me. This was the spot I thought he would go in if drafted because CW went on and on about how much Larry Bird loves him some Georges. Is CW still gone? Is this how they both got drafted?

As much as I love the fact that Niang and Nader got drafted and Uthoff didn't, I hate how some feel we need to go rub it in the face of Hok fans on HN. I hate Iowa fans as much as the next, but we don't have to stoop to the trolling level of them. Be proud to have 2 cyclones drafted tonight and hope they are as good as the teams who drafted them think so they can stick on a roster. Congrats Georges and Abdel, can't wait to see how their futures pan out!

I mostly agree, and I wouldn't do it but they got pretty unbearable when they had their ridiculous top 5 ranking. You act like a doucher, especially when unwarranted, expect to get it back in return when reality sets in.
