As for my Steelers. I am confident they won't draft a corner in the first round... again. No matter how much fans want them to. I just don't think they value the position that high and usually there's not anyone worth it to them at the end of the first. There's a few promising safety prospects this year, so hopefully that's not completely picked over at 25.

Steelers like to pick the best available player at their pick, which led them to draft three straight LBs in the first round. But they are unlikely to pick someone with big character issues.

We'll see if anyone slides to 25 that has a lot of talent. I'm looking forward to teams reaching for QBs and letting quality defenders slide.
DT would be nice and would fit a need as well.

Yup, Chiefs could afford to stash him behind Alex Smith for 2 years to groom him. He would be more of a choice in the 2nd round if there for me. Chiefs are on the cusp of being really good so kind of hard for them to take a project early right now.

Will probably have to trade up in the 2nd to make sure you get him, or trade into the back end of the first. There are 5 QBs who I think COULD be drafted in the first 40 picks. I'm not sure they are all worth it, but teams know they've got to have that franchise QB so they trade all their picks to move up or gamble and take them earlier than they should.

Hoping the Vikes take advantage of teams overreacting to Treadwell's slow 40 time. I think he'd be a perfect fit with Teddy. They desperately need a #1 WR - Diggs had a nice rookie year but isn't a future #1 IMO.

Diggs would be much more effective with another stud WR on the other side.

I think the Vikes need some defensive depth too though. Will be interesting to see what's available at their pick.

As a Vikings fan, I'm more excited for this years draft than I probably ever have been. With what we did in FA, we could go any number of directions tonight/this weekend and still call it a success. I'd be thrilled with Treadwell or Doctson in the first, but wouldn't be upset if we made a trade either up or down and went defense.

I hope they let Nkemdiche go and get a guy like Kaufusi in the next round. If you watch the tape, Kaufusi just looks better IMO.

I agree, out of those 4 he would be my least favorite. But I would assume Zimmer would have a big say on whether they did draft Nkemdiche, with some of the players he had on the Bengals defense he should be a pretty good judge on whether he is worth the risk.

He was so good with O'Brien. I think his development was stunted after he left. He will probably need some time to get up to speed but I think he could be really good.

He was very good as a true freshman playing in O'Brien's system - completed 59% of his pass attempts with a 2:1 TD to INT ratio. It's a concern that he wasn't able to adapt to Franklin or elevate his team like great college QBs do, but there's too much to like about his size and skills to pass up for a team who can afford what amounts to a luxury pick. He'll need time to develop.

But he doesn't know how to cook!

Ok, I think it's funny that a scout downgraded him because of this, but I do think it's important to consider the maturity of some of these guys, especially first rounders.

These guys are going to be instant millionaires and if they can't handle taking care of themselves they might be more likely to get into trouble.

Not quite as bad as a guy who knows they are doing drug testing at the combine and tests positive anyways, but if I had Apple and another kid graded the same, I might take the other kid because he seems more mature.

So they wait to develop big character issues in Pittsburg after they get drafted?

Bryant was a first round talent that they took in the 3rd because he's an idiot. I don't think they'll use a first rounder on a guy like Nkemdiche or anything.

As a Vikings fan, I want to see Spielman make yet another 1st round trade. I am very wary of all the projections that we are taking a WR - I still get flashbacks of Troy Williamson. I do think that Treadwell and Doctson both appear to have greater ability to catch in traffic, whereas Williamson was just a "speed" threat. Taking a WR is a no-brainer move for where they are currently at - BUT I think they could be better suited if they traded up for an OT to replace Kalil after next season, or traded back for a safety that can study under Michael Griffin - who has arguably been one of the best safeties in the NFL.

I think Wentz will end up being a bust and I hope my New York Football Giants take the OT Conklin from Michigan St.

I really hope for his sake that he's not, but I'm also convinced that Wentz will bust.

I want my Vikings to bring in a wideout, Coleman or Doctson. Don't care which one. After that, defense and maybe sneak an OL guy in.

Well to all the NY Giants fans out there - as a COWBOYS fan i hope you whiff on your pick!!!! HAHAHAHAH

For the Cowboys - three things i would like to see:
Ramsey fall to #4 for us to pick. If Ramsey is selected, then i would like to trade with 49ers who really like Paxton Lynch and get a extra 2nd rounder. Chip is stupid with his picks so that should be easy!!!!

If we move back, get Elliott or Shaw Lawson, think both those guys will be studs!!!!!

I too hope you draft Elliott. I would love for you to waste a 1st round pick on a RB. In today's NFL, drafting a RB in 1st round is a waste. Makes it perfect for the Cowboys.

I've heard a few of the "draft experts" state none of this year's receivers are actually worth a first round pick.
