Iowa Western’s Malcolm Lee with his father, former Nebraska player Oudious Lee, in front of the wall of Reivers who transferred to four-year schools. Lee’s FBS offers include Iowa and Iowa State, but not Nebraska.

When the 6-foot-5, 260-pound Bellevue West product is at his best on the Iowa Western defensive line, it’s easy to envision him playing in a high-stakes, Power Five football game, where they tailgate all day and then pack a cavernous stadium at night. . . .
As Malcolm reaches a crossroads in his career, that’s the burning question: Is he a late-bloomer on the cusp of being an FBS game-changer, destined for the NFL like his father, former Husker Oudious? Or is he the player who frustrates the guy on the couch, the one with all the physical attributes who never realizes his potential?
Midway through his second season at Iowa Western, several schools are banking on the former. Lee holds offers from Iowa, Iowa State, Houston, Colorado, Louisville and Florida Atlantic.
Absent from that list is the team Lee adored as a child.
“I loved Husker football, growing up,’’ he said. “Some of my best memories as a kid are going to those games.’’
That will be addressed later. First, let’s piece together Malcolm’s athletic journey to date. . . .
Sweet, I get to watch him play live! New Mexico also has two other kids that almost chose ISU; Kentrail Moran (a 4 star RB a few years ago) and Teton Saltes (was a DE prospect that moved to o-line last year and did really well before getting hurt).
