There's nothing wrong with that, per se. It's a little weird to see you openly whining about it on here though, especially when we have a commanding lead in the overall total.

In @mynameisjonas ‘s defense….

You do know in official medal tables that it goes by number of Gold Medals first then total number of medals. Right?

So it does matter who gets the most Golds even if we have a commanding lead on total.

Those low singles, it’s like the Russian was right where he wanted to be.

I really enjoy the diving competitions in this Olympics and I think it's just as fun as watching gymnastics. If you have watched the historical women's 10m platform diving a couple of days ago, the men's event is just as breathtaking. The top three divers gave the spectators all over the world a great show. Tom Daley of Great Britain dove brilliantly and pushed the two Chinese divers to their limits and they both delivered. One Chinese diver even broke the all-time Olympic single-dive record by scoring a jaw-dropping 112.75 pts (previously held by Australian diver Matthew Mitcham who scored 112.10 in the 2008 Olympics) with the highest degree of difficulty (4.1), but even that was not enough for him to grab the gold because his teammate edged him by less than 2 pts in the end by scoring over 100 pts in 3 of the 6 dives including a 10-pt maximum-score dive. Just watch the following highlights to enjoy this spectacular diving competition.

Gold #36. Men's 4x400m relay is also in the USA's bag. This is the only gold medal for the US in the men's track events.

I was watching the semifinal last night and one of the American runners was a beast. Just totally jacked. Looked like a linebacker out there running. I was shocked by how fast he was going, because he definitely didn’t look like your stereotypical runner.

Also, he may have just LOOKED huge compared to the other runners. I guess I need to try to look back on my perspective.

On the final day of the Olympics, Team USA has a chance to win gold in the following four events.

1. WBB vs Japan (almost guaranteed unless something disastrous happens)

2. VB vs Brazil (very likely because US is the better team, plus Brazil's starting opposite player Tandara got suspended due to doping violation)

3. Boxing - Light Weight (checking the betting odds, this one is less likely)

4. Boxing - Super Heavy Weight (checking the betting odds, this one is less likely)

My prediction: USA is likely tied with China at 38 golds each and USA ranks #1 in the total medal count.

China has a woman in the gold medal match for boxing tomorrow morning, although she is the underdog (+175) and the finals for Rhythmic Gymnastics, but there is no way they are winning Gold in that.

Had many close calls (currently 39 silver to China's 31) to have the gold total in hand already, but there's still a chance.

Herschel walker was that way. Just a beast among everyone else.

watched synchronized swimming for a few minutes. Can't watch this event without thinking of that old Martin Short skit. "I know you, I know you".

Only caught the Russian (gold) and Chinese (silver) women's routines. Very cool combination of art and athleticism.
One of the more amazing things I've seen in the Olympics.
When they showed the underwater cameras it didn't even look like they were treading water. Those girls can't be very buoyant.

Yeah. It's crazy the stuff they can do in the water. I wonder if those athletes ever play water polo.

Martin Short wouldn't stand a chance. He doesn't swim well.

"No, no. You're not angry at him."
