And to add to that last one, since 2014 Iowa State has either lost its first game or won the whole thing, nothing in between. Kind of crazy when you think about that.
Our tourney performances are something else

I see the bad half of that trend continuing this year unfortunately.

Some general Big 12 Tourney history nuggets...

  • Iowa State has been to the championship game 5 times and is 5-0
  • TCU is the only school that has never been in a championship game
  • Five schools have never won the title
    • Baylor (0-3)
    • West Virginia (0-3)
    • Kansas State (0-2)
    • Texas Tech (0-2)
    • TCU (never been)
  • Texas has been in title game 7 times but only won it once
  • Iowa State (4) and Kansas (4) have won 8 of the last 9 tourney's (Texas was other)

They lost the '95 Big 8 Championship game....edit was thinking conference tourney in general. I'll leave it up because they destroyed Kansas.

Testifying
Marquette's first ever outright reg season BE title?
I wouldn't have thought that.

Looked it up and they tied one year for the Big East but have usually been middle of the pack.

They won in other conferences...I didn't realize or forgot they were C-USA with Dwayne Wade.

Shaka Smart may have finally found his spot or Texas just kind of sucks to coach at.

Hmm. Iowa's resume must be holding them back a bit more than I thought. That was a big win tonight (I thought) but Lunardi kept them on the 8 seed line even after they won by 22. That tells me the best they can probably do is a 6 if they won out.

Honestly Indiana is not that good. And don't forget Iowa lost at HOME to that directional Illinois team or something.

I wonder if the fact that Indiana was without their starting point guard played into that?

Four teams: which ones should be in NCAA?
Team A: 5 Q1 wins, NET in mid 30s, non Net ratings in 30s-40s, best win high 20s, worst loss mid 340s
Team B: 5 Q1 wins, NET in mid 60s, non Net ratings in 40s-60s, best win top 5, worst loss mid 60s
Team C: 5 Q1 wins, NET in low 50s, non Net ratings in 30s-40s, best win top 10, worst lost mid 60s
Team D: 6 Q1 wins, NET in mid 70s, non Net ratings in 40s-60s, best win mid 10s, worst loss mid 80s

Only 1 of 4 is currently in.
