We received 28 votes in this weeks AVCA poll which effective places us 28th. Texas drops below Nebraska after leaving Ames with a loss.

@WVU Wednesday and a quick turn around home game with TCU this week. We needed a reverse sweep in Ames to beat WVU a couple weeks ago and took an ugly ugly L in Fort Worth the first week of conf season. Looking forward to a more consistent effort this week. I think that already started with a sweep of a pretty good Texas Tech team 2 days after the emotional big win over the Longhorns. Let’s get to 8-2 in the Big 12 this week!

The TCU and UNI loses were bad. That tourney in St Louis was bad as well but we somehow managed to win those. Hopefully we have evolved beyond those type of performances. Brandt and Hatch have been the keys from what little I have been able to watch. Perry had some huge blocks at the perfect times so I hope she can add a dimension to roofing those physical teams. She might well get a game at TCU considering what their middles did to us last time if she can move her feet quick enough.

The UNI loss was bad in the sense that we just looked off and didn’t play well, but they’ve had a better RPI than us up until this week and should make the tournament. TCU is odd as well as they’ve made some noise in the Big 12 after some puzzling non-con losses. If we were trying to secure a top 16 seed, those losses hurt much more.

Could not have been anyone else. Massive weeks for both! A fresh and healthy Annie Hatch could be the X factor that this team needed to put them in contention to smash some big teams come tournament time. Hatch is giving my daughter hope that after two years of injury riddled seasons one can some back and contribute meaningful points and minutes.

SIAP, but Texas got a cheap win due to forfeit for a match at TCU which they were at some risk, albeit minimal, of losing. Not sure if TCU's forfeit was due to COVID/Illness or suspension/behavior issues:

EDIT: It was due to non-COVID illness according to TCU release:

TCU are a strange bunch agree they could give the horns a game or get annihilated.

And RPI futures have us staying about there at #31 with 2 more wins. So even if we beat TTU and OU at home and drop all 3 on the road @UT @Baylor @KU, our RPI is pretty much set. Some good challenges ahead of us and even after last Friday, I’m excited to get back on track with a good showing tomorrow in Austin.

15-8. Reverse sweep by Kansas after ISU took the first two sets. I don't know that vball has had a more up n down season than this one under Christy.

Haven't seen a more Jekyll and Hyde team. Easier to figure out what was happening if we could watch it. Strange espn+ didn't have it.
