I don’t know our chances, but he would be a huge get!
Not going to hold my breath. We need to get to the early signing period with all our 4 stars. We have some guys that may play as true freshman. (the linebackers and some of the guys on D, and Greg Gaines)Yes! We are in on Orange! That would be a huge land.
So I see Hutchinson is no longer on committed list! Is that because Howard committed to us? Or he just wants to go to Louisville?
Hutchinson #87 S and #1145 overall.
Howard #42 S and #510 overall.

Both of these guys can play as true freshman. Has to be why they picked us partially.Never in my life did I ever think ISU could beat out teams like the ones that offered Gains and Townsend.

Exactly exactly exactly.I'm super excited about this incoming class.
To put it in perspective, we have 19 current commits - 16 of them are rated higher than the average of last years class. Of the 3 guys "below last years average", we have Gabe Burkle - a non-flashy TE that fits the Dylan Soehner role to a T, Carson Willich who didn't play his senior year due to ACL injury (hence no ability to improve his rating), and Tyler Perkins the #6 rated punter.
Every class has its surprises both positive and negative, but as a whole, this classes floor and ceiling should be much higher than the outgoing 2017 class.
Charlie Kolar was a .8362 - Andrew Keller is an .8809.
Mike Rose was .8580 - Jacob Imming is .8839
Tarique Milton was a .7993 - Greg Gains is .8928
The list goes on... Other than Breece Hall, I'm not sure that any outgoing player will NOT be replaced by someone with a higher recruiting ranking.
Now of course, recruiting rankings are not everything - not even close. And I'm not making any claims that Keller will end up better than Kolar, or Imming better than Rose. But in terms of floor/ceiling, I can't help but be excited about the future.
Just over 2 weeks until the early signing period and a LOT of moving parts in college football right now.
- We've heard CMC and company have been focused on recruiting this weekend - any specifics come out of this? Any late 2022 offers? or is it all 2023/2024 offers/relationship building?
- Chris mentioned on the sunday night pod that they would aggressively go after the transfer market to replace leaving starters. Anyone have any clues on which positions would be targeted? CB and PK would be my first guesses
- Speaking of transfers, are there any recruiting battles that are being re-opened by the 2021 coaching carousel? I didn't see any familiar names on the OU offer list, but I'd assume there's kids at TCU, Tech, Washington, USC, Florida, Louisiana, SMU etc that are all considering their options.
- I assume we're still a slight favorite to land R Mason Thomas - despite the recent video where he was spoon fed the word "decommitment". Seems like a dynamic player, so I hope we can land him.
- Michael Swain the ISU 247 reporter tweeted (below) that it should be a good week on the recruiting front... excited to see what that's about
