The chick little **** needs to calm down back here. This is not some new phenomenon where we identify talent early and they get big offers late in the game. We lose some of those types every year it seems like and that's likely to always be the case when high school kids are comparing ISU against traditional powers. We're coming off 5 straight winning seasons, about to ink our highest rated recruiting class in history, and are retaining our hot commodity HC.

Also, Campbell saying something publicly makes no impact IMO if that's already the message coming straight from the horse's mouth to the recruits and their families.

R Mason has a ceiling of Will McDonald. Keeping him needs to be a top priority..

He is our highest rated defensive commit in the rating era. Don't down play his significance

Keeping R Mason probably is a top priority. But the staff can't control his choices. All they can do is make the best pitch and stay engaged with him.

FWIW, I don’t see him signing (anywhere) in 2 weeks.
If it's us and South Carolina I like us here. Have had the longer term relationship, and the Campbell stuff has really subsided. I just think if he's still ours on Dec 3, he's ours. Same with the majority of the class.

Orange on campus this weekend? Not a subscriber, but the 247 article is linked to his profile.

For some reason there’s a couple posters adamant he won’t come here. So feel like I’m gonna get told he’s not coming here again despite him having us in his top 4 and visiting us.

He could literally sign here and someone will go “nope, not coming.”

His recruitment seems different than most. No movement in his rating, very little noise on Twitter. I'm not sure why that would be...

Any recent offers go out to transfer corners?

I like the potential of Purchase and Tampa but after that... It's a MASSIVE unknown

Thankfully our safety room is in great hands with Freyler and McDonald returning. King was pretty decent until injuries. High praises have come in for Jordyn Morgan and Mason Chambers. Trevon Howard in the 2022 class is also a HUGE get and could play. Plus I was super high on Malik Verdon in the 2021 class. He is a bit of a tweener so maybe he could move to a nickel/LB hybrid and play in the box with more weight

If Isheem Young returns.. The safety room would be two deep at ever spot!
There any chance Verdon or Mason Chambers adds weight to be a LB? They’re over 215 if I remember right

This team needs a solid portal CB in the worst way.

This is an over reaction. Purchase and Tampa are decent and should only get better. They have the ability to be really good players. Michael Antione has seen the field and should be at least serviceable.

Do we need to recruit the position, absolutely. But we are not in the Danny Mac days when we'd be lucky to have a full set of B12 starting level players let alone serviceable backups.

Purchase and Tampa will be solid but still lack experience. Also wasn't insinuating this is Danny Mac level of talent, but we've also grown to aspire to higher levels of expectation
