Not at all she got knee capped by Tonya's goon. I mean just good old fashioned heckling like 10,000 people chanting Your a cheater from the moment she steps on the ice till when she finishes. Then boo the heck out of her no matter how pretty her performance was.

As far as I'm concerned, the real battle between Nancy and Tanya was the one you could feel the least sympathy for. I get it - Nancy nearly had her Olympics, if not career, wrecked by her rival. But I simply just did not like her, even after the kneecapping.

No clue. The only reason why I followed it at all as a kid was because my younger sister got preferential treatment in TV viewing when we were kids, and it was what she liked, so it was put on. I’ve barely paid attention to it at all the last 25 years, even during the Olympics.

I'm not saying the IOC isn't corrupt, they are, but I don't think this is a good example of it. Because they appealed so that her suspension would stay in effect. My understanding is the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) is the body that decided she could provisionally compete.

Yeah, you're right. I made the mistake of blaming this on them in an earlier post, but it seems to be out of their hands. The IOC still sucks donkey balls though.

This is my understanding as well. Though I find it interesting that the IOC itself doesn't seem to have the authority to say someone is ineligible to compete in the Olympics.
