Who's the other? We didn't offer little mac.

Regardless they were both good recruits we missed out on due to the situation, which we would have loved to have under different circumstances.

I honestly think Greg would have offered Doug if he had tasted some success or felt like he was going to make it long term.

It would be nice to have a posh high-major prospect just fall into our laps.

For once.

“What he reminds me of is kind of a Lindell Wigginton a little bit,” Moore said of the Cyclones’ own freshman phenom, “but he’s probably going to be more athletic than Lindell and a better shooter than Lindell. He’s a strong guard that can finish through contact and play in the paint.”

That is one hell of an assumption for a kid that isn’t in HS yet, but that’s good for the hype train

A point of reference for Lipsey's athleticism - he won the Pentathalon in the USA T&F Junior Olympics Nationals last year by over 250 points, and this summer long jumped 21' 7.5". He also appears to excel in the hurdles.

Maybe the tides are turning and there will be a new generation of high major talent Iowa hs kids that grow up wanting to be cyclones AND ABSOLUTELY DESPISE ROY WILLIAMS! Bowen born in the 2020 class and now this kid.
ADDED a phrase in your post.

Lipsey (2022) and Bowen Born (2020) are both going to grow three more inches and be our future backcourt. Throw in Ben Carlson (2020) in the frontcourt. The Hoiberg twins to round out our starting five...

In all seriousness if Vance Downs (Ames High coach) is praising an 8th grader publically the kid is going to be the real deal. Anyone have any idea how tall his parents/siblings are? So often you see these freak middle school athletes but they are done growing.

I think we all had one of those freaks growing up. The one that was a 6'3" 8th grader with a beard that averaged 25 ppg. Same player was also a 6'3" senior, still with a beard except they never saw varsity minutes and were the third best player on the JV. I don't think Lipsey is that player though haha.

He is already taller than both his parents, sisters are 5'9'sih (and I think ISU students). Do not think he will grow a whole lot more.
