Cael is obviously Cael. What gets me is how it just overlooked like it isn’t a thing for guys to transfer there. It most definitely is a thing and they are capitalizing on paying kids boo-koo bucks to wrestle there.
They’re capitalizing more so on producing NCAA champions and world teamers imo.

Lets not act like its one or the other. PSU has die hard wrestling alumni that made the Cael move happen. They are absolutely paying wrestlers as well as anyone. And they are winning. They are the equivalent of what Real Madrid was in soccer for the past couple decades. You would win all the trophies and you knew you had the largest wages.

I’m sure they are paying guys, everyone is. Are they paying more than Iowa or Michigan or TOSU? I don’t know about that, and reports are that they aren’t offering as much as Iowa at least.

Everyone is offering money. What makes PSU different is they’re selling their ability to create champions at the highest level.

It’s ridiculous if true
Let’s say they end up landing Griffith and they win a title (hypothetical), does that diminish the Cael Factor? If so, just a straight “highest bidder” arms race going forward and the ******** that Pyles was spewing a week or two ago is, well…********.

Penn state still has a legit shot at 5 champs. 141/149/157/174/184/197/285. 7 potential finalists, 8 if you want to add in Nagao. Michigan isn’t touching them…

They’re not winning a title even with Griffith.

PSU rolling out 8 AAs. 6 returning top 3, a 4th and a 5th.

Michigan beat Iowa with that lineup though.
