Iowa offered more money to him and Bernie and they both chose Penn State instead. People want gold not silver.
Okay, so investigate every single team that has guys getting NIL money in any sport? I’m saying everyone is allowed to do it. Not my fault the NCAA isn’t calling it pay to play. Penn State isn’t doing anything that isn’t happening at some level elsewhere and on a much bigger scale in other sports.
Just saying you can’t punish Penn State for being that much better than everyone. Doesn’t mean I think it’s a good thing for wrestling.
I've wondered if anyone would ever take a run at Iowa's tournament scoring record. I still don't think it's likely, but that lineup with the way PSU racks up bonus points, could get within shouting distance.
And/or they may want no part in the Brands culture. Not a hard choice for a lot of top guys.

Go win a national championship with Cael or go wrestle with the Brands and Ferrari family. Not a hard decision for most.
ISU canceled the visit about a month ago. Not worth the headaches dealing with the family. Angelo on his own is a great kid, but you don’t get just him, you get the entire crazy town with him.
Not worth it. I can't even imagine the headache Kevin would have had to deal with.
I’m surprised they haven’t all transferred already. That coaching search has been a total **** show.
