JJ should have just said no comment... it was invented exactly for these scenarios.

JJ McCarthy was still in high school in both of the years he mentioned. So anything he says about it during that timeframe is based on whatever the Michigan coaches told him and not real life experience.

WVU was ranked 25th in CFN's final poll. I think that's about right. they're ahead of iowa, and I think WVU beats iowa, Iowa state, kansas, and kstate if they played them late. WVU won 5 of their last 6.

2 of their losses were @ PSU and @ OU. Not sure bama would be 2-0 in those 2 games. WVU got better as the year went on. their beat Pitt and Texas tech with their backup qb. that's prety good.

i dont think wvu is any better than 25th, but 9-4 wasnt a bad season. The only "bad' loss was houston on the road on a hail mary as time expired.

WVU will be better next year, but they open with Penn State and Pitt again, and play all of the best teams in the big 12. Oklahoma state, kstate, utah, arz, UCF, Iowa State, colo. and kansas.

way to early to predict win totals, but if wvu wins 8 next year, they'll have earned it.
Bama would crush Penn State and still beat OU by double digits. I don’t think WVU would beat K State either. Hell of a season for your boys and glad they actually did what they did. But your best win in the regular season was maybe Tech at home? You avoided Texas, K State, Iowa State and Kansas who all finished in above .500 in conference. OU blasted WVU and they squeaked by a really bad Baylor team and even TCU who wasn’t good. And of course lost to a terrible Houston team, Hail Mary or not.

This is the new norm going forward with unbalanced schedules. WVU caught a good one this year getting all four of the newbies and avoiding Texas. Meanwhile Iowa State played Texas, OU, Oklahoma State, K State and KU. Swap Texas with Houston and we are at 8-4 and 7-2 in the league.

To say WVU would beat all the teams you listed is a stretch. Could they? Absolutely they could because they are all about the same. But to be definitive? Nah.

Bye bye Arch
You would think he would either transfer or sign up for the draft if he thought there was a good chance of Arch starting over him.
If he wants to improve his draft stock he better be sure he's going to be playing.

Pretty sure the rumor is that Arch is only getting hype because of his name and that he’s actually pretty mediocre
