VB practice facility going to the Regents next week.

$4.2M project, including "two practice courts, locker room, coaches and staff offices, team room and training room. The project would relocate the building entrance from the northwest corner of the building to the west side. The locker rooms and offices would be designed for future flexibility as the needs of the program evolve. A new mezzanine floor would be created in the existing practice space to house the offices for ISU Volleyball staff. Visibility would be prioritized, with clear views between the lobby and volleyball courts, as well as views from the offices on the mezzanine level to the courts."

Tentative completion date: Spring 2025.

This is good news. Hopefully "future flexibility" would facilitate an upgrade like this:

Forgive my naivety, is this in Hilton or a different building? I remember years ago the volleyball office was in the Hilton basement with no windows.

The set by Brandt with the score 10-9 in first set against WV is one of the best tight sets you will ever see. She is running toward the net all her momentum is going that way. How she stays out of the net in and of itself amazing but the set is on a plate. I can't even remember which middle hit it. Absolutely top notch. She is more and more impressive point by point, game by game. With her, Stonestreet and the freshman we just might be special and we haven't been close for a long time.

I think she is CJL’s best setter since Landwehr. And I thought it was mildly amazing she came in last season as a true freshman and immediately started in the 6-2 rotation after not playing spring VB and not participating in summer drills while she played HS softball at an all state level. And by season’s end , she was the team’s top setter for a team that won a first round NCAA match for the first time in a few years.

Cyclones fall out of the top 25 at no fault of their own. Undefeated ASU jumped in at 25, which obviously is no problem…but a 3-7 Kentucky team and a 4-7 Ohio State team are still 22&23. I realize they’ve both played extremely tough schedules, but at some point you have to win to stay ranked IMO.

Imagine a if Notre dame was 1-4 in week 5 of college football and still in the top 25 because all their losses are against top 20 teams…
