This is shaping up to be a surprisingly strong Instate class. Maybe not as strong at the top as the last two years, but very deep.

Rakers is starting to blow up. Not sure why we’re not in on Simpson or Bruhn—unless we’re only taking one TE?

2 CB's in today.
Not a lot of confidence, alas.

Here is another Oklahoma kid they’re hot after, though I’m not sure if it’s at TE or DE. Kind of astonished he’s not ranked yet, guy looks impressive.

According to Rivals visit dates, we had an interesting visitor 10 days ago, for the second time. Daniel Freitag, a 4* WR. Did any news come up on his visit?

I’d be shocked if he ended up playing football in college. He’s a top 100 basketball recruit.
He's also a top 500 football recruit and, in a sport with 6.5x the scholarships, that's pretty similar. I think there is as good or better chance that he plays football.

I believe he’s outright said that he’s going to play football rather than basketball in college.

To be fair, as only a Top 100 hoops recruit (and only around 6’2”), he has a better chance of making the NFL.

His twitter says he’s finishing his highschool career at a Southern California academy school that doesn’t offer football.

One of Coach Clanton’s top targets, on a list that has to include a couple of Iowans in Logan-Magnolia’s Grant Brix and Dowling’s Kyle Rakers, and then Emerson Mandell from St. Paul’s Irondale HS. Several Coloradans are also in that mix, perhaps as many as three from Myles Purchase’s high school.

I figured I’d be happy getting either Holt or Mandell—though I’m not completely sure if the latter winds up at G or T.

Brix is probably the only one I’m completely sure will be a tackle.

I think that Xavier is going to fly up recruiting boards over the six months. Has to be our #1 RB target this year, this kid is a BEAST.

Scheduled to commit this week.

Bored tonight so I’m checking out hudl videos of commits.

Keaton Roskop looks very impressive. Looks like an elite pass catcher for a high school TE.

I was watching his highlights earlier. There was one play where he wasn’t even covered, and I was just starting to wonder what opponent had played such horrid defense…when he trundled into an end zone with my high school’s logo painted all over it.
