Did it rain much? I was really looking forward to a firm Augusta which hasn't happened in awhile.

This morn Honorary Starter Jack Nicklaus got a well deserved round of applause for successfully getting his ball teed up w/o assistance.

I really hate that this is only on paramount. This is worse than cable anymore.

I'm aware but coverage still doesn't start until an hour after the tournament starts which is ridiculous.
The Masters has the worst coverage of any major sporting event I can think of. It's like they're trying to strong arm fans into buying tickets to the even vs. watching on TV, but it's nearly impossible to get tickets too.

The difference is The Masters, and Augusta National, don't need the money. They would be perfectly happy to tell TV to shove it if they got too pushy so CBS and ESPN know they have to play within the boundaries that Augusta National sets for them. Hell, it wasn't that many years ago we only got the back 9 on Saturday and Sunday and those stupid clip shows before Letterman and that was it.

It's not like the other majors that are dependent on the TV money to run their entire operations.
