Seems like he either didn’t get the offers he was expecting, realized WVU has better NIL than most realize (they are), and wanted out of Drake. Not sure why he’d take that job otherwise. Odd mix.
Seems like an odd fit. But a CBSSports.com writeup from earlier today projected DeVries was the leader for the WVU job.

Okie State might seem like a better job fit, but the article mentioned that OSU has money issues to address surrounding its hoops program related to Boyton's buyout and NIL fundraising for hoops. So OSU might not have the money that WVU was willing to offer.

From a returning player standpoint, it looks like WVU is a major rebuild.
