Woah.
Seems like he either didn’t get the offers he was expecting, realized WVU has better NIL than most realize (they are), and wanted out of Drake. Not sure why he’d take that job otherwise. Odd mix.
Woah.
Yep. With a giant check from the Country Roads collective.thats shocking and a weird fit.
does his son go with him for his covid year?

Seems like an odd fit. But a CBSSports.com writeup from earlier today projected DeVries was the leader for the WVU job.Seems like he either didn’t get the offers he was expecting, realized WVU has better NIL than most realize (they are), and wanted out of Drake. I'd be shocked if they didn't promote Marty Richter to the big chair.Wonder if Blount will be a candidate for the Drake job.
so much this. the delusion of theirs with him stashed in DSM and being the coach in waiting was comical.Iowa fans
Wouldn't even have to move.Wonder if Blount will be a candidate for the Drake job.
Woah.
Plus the Underwood contract fiasco that led to his departure.Seems like an odd fit. But a CBSSports.com writeup from earlier today projected DeVries was the leader for the WVU job.
Okie State might seem like a better job fit, but the article mentioned that OSU has money issues to address surrounding its hoops program related to Boyton's buyout and NIL fundraising for hoops. So OSU might not have the money that WVU was willing to offer.
From a returning player standpoint, it looks like WVU is a major rebuild.
They’ll be thrilled with Fran after a Sweet 16 win tonight.Hoks need to extend Fran so he doesn't get away...
Hopefully they go with the first or third option. If they don't promote Richter, the two names to watch are Blount and Ali Farokhmanesh.
I get it but producing head coaches is the sign of a very healthy and sustainable program.Hopefully they go with the first or third option.
Interesting thought. Would we play them then?Wonder if Blount will be a candidate for the Drake job.
You can't keep great coaches around forever. At some point they are going to move up.Hopefully they go with the first or third option.
Exactly. And no doubt TJ would replace him with another high level coach. You can't keep great coaches around forever. At some point they are going to move up.
