Dame went off last two games and still loses for the bucks, no Giannis tonight of course.

Didn't anticipate the Warriors winning in Boston.

GSW are so weird. Title years were built off guards they drafted but they never really developed anyone behind the starters. Signed people to build a good roster but didn’t develop anyone except Poole and he seems like a system guy now that he is somewhere else. Kerr looked washed as a coach the last couple years and at the Olympics. Now GSW looks like they have something going. Makes no sense. I’m here to watch it but no guesses what happens.

Video game numbers. Beat OKC without Gordon and Murray last night.

You can tell there were mumblings of press hoping we’d see him start to tail off from his prime. I think he’s already a top ten all time player and top five will depend how long he wants to play. Very likely the most effective passer in history of the sport.

The one criticism I have of Jokic is he defers too much in crunch time. That Minnesota game last weekend he was passing off to Christian Braun the last two possessions when all the Nuggets needed was one more bucket to hold off the T-Wolves.

Love his unselfish game, just wanted to see a little more “Jordan” at the end there

I see LeBron is getting exactly what he wanted from the coach he... I mean...the Lakers hired!

A certain kind of NBA fan...like say HFCS...can get a lot out of the Scotty Pippen Jr story.

- Son of Hall of Fame player (but his wing span is 6" shorter than dad's)
- Undersized combo guard
- Played a full three seasons in college
- Led the SEC in points per game
- Went undrafted
- Scratched and clawed to get a roster spot
- Again proving on the court he belongs out there in the NBA

There might be someone else whose story has some STRIKING similarities yet also radically different realities and outcomes.

Some day a player is going to come along with his size/hands/mind/vision but also have incredible physical quickness and stamina and it will again be like nothing we've seen. I think what you're saying can be true because teams double him late and he gets gassed, he's the best at finding those open guys but they have to hit shots.

There really isn't a comp for him. You have to Frankenstein together a few players. I've seen footage of young soviet Sabonis and even that isn't a comp because he was more athletic than Joker pre-injuries, while a good playmaker I don't watch young (or old) Sabonis and think he's the best playmaker I've ever seen.

Before getting to your second paragraph I was also going to say Sabonis.

Yeah, I don’t know if he has it in him, but I think he’ll need to tailor his approach a tad this year. With Murray out, they literally don’t have another above average offensive player on the team. Maybe MPJ if he’s “on” that night.

After MPJ you have Braun (who I love, but is still an unpolished offensive player), Aaron Gordon, who’s also hurt and is really at his best as a rim runner, and Westbrook, who I absolutely do not want taking a last shot

He’s also committing more turnovers trying to get others involved this year. He’s 6th in the NBA with 4 TOs a game this year. That would be a career high. And a lot seem to come as bad passes in critical moments

I think the NBA has a problem with young stars, small markets, and nobody can watch them brewing.

So looks like the plan is for Bronny to stay in SoCal as much as possible playing home games for G League and still suiting up for Laker home games when the schedule works.

At least the G league coach can tell his GM that his goal is to develop the players he is given rather than get Ws, unlike the USC coach who had to win games or get fired.

They say this was the plan all along (I'm sure it all was planned) and point out how this is the case for most of late second rounders...ignoring how odd it is for player with those college stats and measurables to get drafted and suit up the first 8 games.

It was planned out for sure...and we all know who insisted on this plan!

working out well for them! Losers in 4 of the last 5

I get the skills that Anthony Davis has...and pairing him up with LeBron sounds great...but how can anyone count on AD to be healthy for an extended period of time? He is becoming one of the most over-hyped, underachieving NBA players...I know his is very good or can be...but he gets talked about like his is a legend and I just don't see it!
